Took a knee to protest the police, just one year after a BLM member executed 5 police officers in Dallas.

What a pussy.

Come at me, bro.

Ohhhh Pio Feet. They took a knee as a full team prior to the Anthem beginning and then stood as a full team arm to arm for the anthem.

This is in response to the idiocy of our President who cant achieve jack because he wont shut up or get off of twitter.

I don't have a problem with how Dallas handled it, in fact I think it was intelligent. They didn't disrespect our veterans or the flag

The a'holes who get paid MILLIONS (well, a good many of them) to ENTERTAIN us (with no redeeming social value to what they do, or for any betterment of our country) forget that AMERICA is the only place they could get paid for basically, doing nothing of lasting value to society.

Try going to Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, Russia, China, any African nation and try to make that kind of living playing a damn game.

You are not happy because some folks got shot after robbing a store or making an aggressive move toward a police officer or not complying when asked? Not all who were shot by police were 'innocent.' I feel no remorse nor sympathy for those. Not a bit.

Yes, an occasional one may be wrongly shot. And that is unforgiveable. And just as many (and actually, probably many more) police officers get wrongly shot in cold blood as well. But nobody seems to 'protest' that.

The thing is, protest all you want. But your choice of venue to do it is turning more people against you than helping your 'cause.'

Bingo. There are legitimate concerns in what they want to say, but they picked possibly the dumbest way to go about protesting so it turns the vast majority of people off.

Didn't say a word about the anthem, flag or our great President.

The only point I made was he and his brave Cowboys are protesting police, just one year after 5 of them were executed on the streets of DFW

That is just a fricking lie.

Repeating it will not make it so.

It's just a matter of time before it starts at college games.

For the most part, college teams are in the locker room during the national anthem and don't come out of the tunnel until afterward.

Thus, it hasn't become an issue.

I always sit during the anthem and pledge. not really anything to do with black live matter .I just think the pledge and unwavering support of my government is stupid.

Oh for Pete's sake. Before you begin making broad general statements like this take a few minutes to google things.

Police deaths are much lower then they've ever been. Recently we posted the safest year in recorded history for police being killed with only 27 dying. The yearly average is half what it was in the 70's, which is quite a bit lower then it was in the 30's and so on. The average is right around 50 police a year.

From Jan 1 2015 to Aug 11 2016 police shot and killed 1502 people. Now, I have little doubt that many of them deserved it. Quite a few of them probably didn't though.

Why? Because the media and folks who don't actually stop and look at the real numbers scream about a war on police. Bah Gawd their killing cops left and right! Its a war zone out there! Its just like the movies!

It isn't. It has never been safer to be a police officer and we have more police then we've ever had.

Its like the jackasses that bloviate about the world is going to hell when, historically speaking, humanity has never had it better. By any standard you care to use we're in our golden era as a species. We're farting through silk folks.

Now if its your arse that gets shot by the police officer that panicked when you weren't committing a crime are you going to go on and on about how you are "innocent"? You probably had it coming right?

Police have a shitty job. That is a given. 99.9% of them never fire their gun except at a training range thankfully. But one "innocent" person shot is one too many. We need better training and we need to reign in this horseshite about a war on cops. I'm not saying this to attack police officers, I'm saying this its a problem we need to address before more people get shot.

This is across all racial groups mind you. While blacks are twice as likely to be shot and killed by police twice as many whites are killed by the police each year. Think of it as the morbid example of that old "The Great American Melting Pot".

Now, your other point.

AMERICA is far from the only place that professional athletes get paid big bucks. Fire up google again and take a gander at how much professional soccer players make on one of the major teams.

I'll just throw a name out there... Wayne Rooney will make 26 million in American dollars this year. His net worth is around 67 million dollars all told... because he spends money like a drunken sailor on shore leave. There are big name soccer players worth quite a bit more then him.

The average NFL player makes less money then the average Premier League player. Hell, the NFL comes out 7th in sports leagues around the world in average salary. We are slightly ahead of the German soccer league if that gives a boost to the patriotic pride though.

While soccer is the biggest one there are also well to do athletes in tennis. Rugby. Golf. Hell professional cricket players make a darn good living. Did you know that the IPL in India, a professional cricket league, has the second highest average salary, trailing only the NBA?

I'm sorry to say that pro athletes in Russia and China tend to live fairly high on the hog as well. Iran and Pakistan too. Maybe not as much as NFL players but compared to the average salary in those countries they are quite well to do thank you very much. And yes, there are prosperous African sports leagues. Despite what you see on the news Africa is not entirely a jungle or shantytown.

What goes for athletes also holds true for other ENTERTAINers as well. They tend to make quite a bit more here then anywhere else... but we are the richest country in the world. Big name entertainers do very well for themselves in their home country compared to the average Joe... or average Muhammed as the case may be. We aren't that different from the rest of the world in that regard. We just have more money to throw around.

There isn't a great need for police to gun down heaps of people to defend themselves and we are hardly the only country in the world with well off public figures. Those are the cold hard facts. Not opinions. You are entitled to your own opinions, you are not entitle to your own facts.

Let me rephrase. Our very intelligent President who had an amazing staff would be considered much more successful, if he refused to fan the flames of idiocy and stick to being the leader of the free world. A little diplomatic training might help as well.

Look, I want Trump to be a huge success. But he shoots his own self in the foot constantly. Fanning the flames of this has kept it in the prim time of our lives.

as far as his successes thus far. Health care , Tax Reform , Travel bans , reforming nafta ,

But he did scare the bejesus out of rocketman right? , oops... are we friends with Russia again ...

For all of the bluster of "winning" I have mostly seen a bunch of whining.
