So I visited this message board for the 1st time in 7yrs and in the Top 3 topics was this same fricking bs
This is the same reason why I left and never went back, shite is still going on. Those fricking snowflakes couldn't last 5 min on our tRant. Our Razorback mods get yeasty vaginas every once in a while and gives into PC, but damn, they are damn near Free Speech absolutists compared to those dick beaters
Could you imagine what those cucks would do if I posted 'Shooting at a Hurricane or said Tyson Foods will kill you?' over there.

I've been going over there more frequently since the season began. I'll regularly take months off of it. I mostly just go because it's active and they generally post some info that I don't get here until much later.
It seems to be filled with a lot of older people who don't know how to interact on the Internet, so they post bizzare stuff, misunderstand sarcasm and trolling, and seem a bit out of touch. If not for that, the site would be alright, overbearing mods aside.
Edit: Also, the melts after losses are exceptional. That's another great draw.

Also when someone makes a reference or posts a photo from a show from the 60s and thinks it's funny, but no one gets it because no one is 90 years old.

It's definitely teeming with boomers who have no idea how to use the internet, most of whom have terrible senses of humor.

They also add a lot of unnecessary exclamation points to perfectly neutral sentences. And they space punctuation weirdly. Evidence is mounting that <60% of Hogville posters are very unsophisticated bots.

They also use the term carpetbagger/yankee when discussing long. Also have a penchant for saying that we should support the razorback no matter what, and are content with 6-6. Never say anything bad, we should root for them no matter what. Then go on to type "go hogs go" which sounds so odd. Go hogs is perfectly natural. The extra go is completely unnecessary/retarded.

I never understood the "blindly support your team no matter what" type of fanhood that so many Arkansas sports talk show callers and Hogville posters aspouse to. That's not really how the market works, nor should it. I'm sure the aged bastard s on that board are pretty staunch capitalists, so why would they uncompromisingly support a crap product? Should we all be fricking ecstatic for 4-8 seasons and never complain when just 5yrs ago your team was #3 and winning cotton bowls in the most stacked SEC ever?

I heard a great line by Gary Danielson a couple weeks ago on Clay Travis's shadow and he had a great statementa after much of media was claiming Sumlin was being too harshly criticized after the UCLA debacle.
He said, "Look, when you're in the big time world of multi billion dollar athletics, you know what comes with it. If I do a bad job on television, I get fired. If you [Travis] don't get the railings, they bring in somebody else to take your spot....that's how it works in this kind of business. If you don't want that, then go coach at a small college and make a decent living and have a decent life. It's not for some people and Sumlin knows that."
I think many of the older generation just can't grasp how much of a bottom line business winnng and college football has become. They grew up on Ole Frank and the boys making 26K a year as coaches and hawking Buicks in the offseason. i can kind of understand the logic.
But when a coach signs an initial deal worth $20-plus million and then gets a fricking extension that guarantees him nearly $35 million total after a 6-6 season, and a 10-22 SEC record, then people --rightly so-- are going to be fricking apoplectic.

The part about leaving his wife out of the discussion is about as far from bs as you can get. Bielema signed up for criticism of himself when he pursued a D1 coaching career, but not his wife/kids/family. Bringing a coach's family into the conversation makes you look like a knuckle-dragging a-hole.

But as far as Jen goes, I think people (hell maybe even me) have gone a little over the top with her but yes she did insert herself into it with the 'karma' comment so I feel no guilt whatsoever.
