If Austin hadn't managed to at least move the ball vs Ole Miss, nobody would have been calling for him.

He did a decent job when he was put in there. 3 of 5 passing, including one over 30 yards, and the offense got two FGs while he was in there (defense scored the TD). If he had been a disaster vs Ole Miss, fewer people watching Friday would have wanted him in the game.

bullshite, the back up QB is always the favorite QB.

If Austin had been a complete disaster, it would not have been the 3rd string QB (Derby) instead the 4th/5th string Mitchell/Peavey would have been screamed for...

Combine our lack of depth + the penalties + the shitty replays + Mizzou senior day + Mizzou playing to win the east, I'm surprised we didn't lose by more.

And actually, we probably should of won the game. Which I would imagine is where a lot of the grumbling is coming from.
