our pass rush has been hit and miss, some of the blame lies with the personnel and coaching, the rest of the blame lies with our linebacker depth giving up quick over the middle passes.

Exactly. It's almost as if losing 3 draft picks in the front 7 hurt us more than it helped us. Who would've thought?

Going with the "I'm just glad we won" for now. May be plenty of time to rail on Bert.

I heard a lot of people saying our D-line was going to be better. I kept wondering why they felt that way.

Sure we are deeper, but we have a very meh line overall. I like Ledbetter(being the best of the bunch), Wise, and Beanum.

Lets just hope they can continue to improve.

Linebacker position is almost a lost cause at this point in the season

woah woah woah. now I realize personel is the pass rush problem but remember now michael smith was not given a raise when his receivers didn't perform, talent or no talent. i like our kick off coverage and our punt returns. I do not like our line drive FG's. that is my problem and it was and problem last season. this has to get fixed.

Taiwan Johnson played really well last year but has been a no-show this season.

And I think shuffling the offensive line and their struggles made our D-line look really good in the off-season. No one expected our O-line to take a step back. So when the D-line was kicking their arse everyone (rightfully) assumed the D-line must be amazing.

I still have faith that they get it together as the season goes on, just like last season.

And even though it was just Tennessee, it was our first SEC win this season. Last year that didn't come until the LSU game near the end of the season. And on top of that it was on the road.

In spite of this and the shite load of broken bones......We won a road game in a hostile environment.

we still played shitty. Tennessee just gave it away in the second half.

First half comeback was 100% Hogs. Hogs stormed back with a physical offense. Without that, second half doesn't matter really.

In front of 100K screaming idiots no less.

It was actually a really good series for about ten years beginning in '95. That's what we need to get back to. LINK

I was in Tuscaloosa in '93 right when we first joined the conference. We lost 43-3. I did get to spend virtually all the second half wandering around the stadium because there was no point watching the game after the first half. Then I read that subsequently Alabama had to forfeit that particular game. Outside of the game it was a fun time.
