These walls they are putting up on 540 are freaking me out. It's like driving into Dallas

That's because you need to watch the car in front of you instead of looking at trees and development projects.

Last night at around 1am I was driving back from my wife's parents house and I got on 540 behind a tanker truck and about 100 yards past the Kelly Highway exit a construction barrel was sticking a good 4-6 feet into the only drivable lane. The tanker truck almost fricking wiped out from having to swerve hard onto the shoulder to avoid it. It felt like I was in Final Destination IRL

Yeah I feel like the wall at the first six lane section is rather tall. I honestly have mixed feelings about us getting more metro all the time.

When I got back into the Ville right at the Porter Rd exit I was side by side with a semi with a heavily loaded flatbed. He kept swerving into the dividing line and I was in the narrow arse left lane. I slowed to swing in behind him but decided to just speed up and pass him instead.

As I was coming up beside the back wheels of the trailer BOOM! One the tires right beside blows out like he drove over an IED. I said 'frick' and gassed it while the car behind me sideswiped the wall. Lol.

frick THAT

Seriously, every time I ride passenger in a vehicle on the interstate, I always lock on and stare at the tires of every 18 wheeler that we pass and pray that the tire doesn't blow and send a chunk through the window at my head.

Oh it sprayed rubber everywhere and cars behind him locked the brakes, bet there was a fender bender or two. But I wasn't sticking around, I had a job to get to and I don't care to get a subpoena to testify in some stupid insurance case.

Glad you had quick reflexes to be ready to juke if that tanker had rolled.
