Jammed up both ways. frick this 30 yr old bypass built for a metro of 100k. We have 500k bodies and nutless politicians that can't get funding to save their life.

I appreciate all you northerners sending your money south to complete the 4 lane from Beebe to Conway.

this is why I could never work for Wal Mart or any vendors based up there.

I'm not moving from Fayetteville, and I'm not driving 540 5 days a week.

Shits a joke. I honestly think we just have way to many shitty drivers mixed in that can't drive in traffic

ETA: It's i49 now brah

62 West out of Fville is all kinds of frickered. Fender bender by the liquor store so of course FPD shuts down 2 lanes of traffic.

I saw the I49 part being built heading to Gravette. That will be nice once its done. Plus just drove 102 towards Center ton for the first time since they finished the widening. Very nice.

Drove 112 from BVE to FYV today. How the frick is that highway not 4 lanes? frick Dickie Trammell in his goat arse.

All those new subdivisions and an extra 12,000 people yet not a single upgrade to that road in 20 dang years. Kickback taking SOB's. Whose planning anything up there?

Walmart's the king of logistics but we can't figure out that another 150k people means we might need to build some new lanes or put shoulders or turn lanes in maybe.

Also saw father of the year on 112 with a 4-5 year old on a bike with training wheels learning how to ride in the fricking highway as it was coming up on dusk. Brilliant move Dad.

Parents on bikes with kids, or towing kids in those little stroller bikes always give me the heebjeebs. That is an awful lot of trust in other drivers, and in a plastic thing from China. i could see it on the trails, or in some dead end street, but not on a busy street, and not at rush hour.

Dumb dummies.

Meanwhile, Fort Fresh is 1 month away from completing I-540 renovation (including like 12 bridges being rebuilt) from Rogers Ave exit to I-40 jct. Although, should you would think that with the amount of traffic we have, it would be six lanes as well but that would mean building a whole new fricking bridge across the Arkansas river and that would be a logistical, traffic, and engineering nightmare.

Ding ding ding. One of the two main problems up here (other is obvious).

People up here can't. freaking. drive. I've been up here a year now and am nearly hit on a seemingly weekly basis. I don't know if it's a northern thing or a yuppie thing, but people in NWA -- Bentonville specifically -- need to stay the eff off the roads until they possess some semblance of skill and awareness.

Oh, and there are only two roads out of my subdivision and both are plum eat up potholes because they were constructed as a soundly as a 10 year old's lemonade stand and are made of a composition of quickcrete and silly puddy. The last time they got patched, I swear the highway department just bought a bunch of Flex Steel and and sprayed 'em up.

Is it, its been a clusterfrick for a couple years now, especially when they redid 64 going into VB at the same time.

Ft. Smith is OK because you can easily get to each side of town via different routes than 540 (64, 22, etc), once you get into town, its a cluster with how the streets are laid out and named.

I think early Ft. Smith planners were some of the first IRL trolls. They said normal straight roads that go north/south or east/west are boring we need something with pizazz we're Fort Fresh damnit.

Dale how rough is it getting through 540? Gotta go down around the airport this afternoon curious if 540 should be avoided.
