And I think pretty easily. Neither team has a great offense and they play pro style which we can actually defend really well. Our offense would light up these defenses too. I know they are very solid, but I can't see being held to a couple FGs in a half indoors with how complete and explosive Arkansas' offense has become. Damn shame the division we play in...

You are high as a fricking kite.

Either of these teams would win the east, easily, challenge Bama in the west.

Guarantee which ever one of these teams play Bama, they will be held under 10 pts. No pro style, run based offense in the country can move the ball against them...they are built to demolish them

And their D is built to stop offenses like Bama's.

Fact is the separation between the SEC and the B1G isn't as large as many like to believe and nothing compared to the separation between these two and the rest of the power conferences...

Specially this year. IMHO, B1G was better than SEC.

Bottom of SEC is terrible, but bottom of big 10 is worse, and Iowa played most of them. Iowa has 3 wins against .500 teams, Bama has like 8 or 9 I think. Wait until Tide gets rested against either team...easy double digit win.

The East was pretty bad and Bama was really the only consistently "good" team in the conference.

I hope the East bounces back soon and our orogram takes that next step.

Negative. Iowa would beat us. I really like what they're doing with their Defense.

Robb Smith was nothing but vanilla and played basic for the majority of games.

Iowa is mixing it up, creating confusion and hitting like Mack trucks when they need to bring it. They're getting to the QB, defending the run and the pass well.

It really is amazing how far our defense dropped off the cliff. As amazing it was how well the D played the season before, it's equally amazing at how bad they played this year.

Our offense wouldn't whip Iowa's D.

Don't we play Florida next year after Grier gets back? They should rebound big time.

Yes, but didn't I hear that Grier isn't coming back, or was it someone else?

Or is he suspended until half of the season is over?

Or am I just confused.

btw Madre London an Arkansas born kid that RD hyped up for two years as a possible Arkansas recruit from Ft. Lauderdale's St. Thomas Aquinas (a HS program we badly need to have a foothold in) is playing well for the Spartans so far tonight.

I don't think we ever offered the kid.

I'm sure our depth dictated this

I think we play Florida like week 9 or 10 and Grier comes back week 7.

Based on what smith has said in the past I think it was a matter of doing what we could do well. We lack experience just as much as depth. For all the shite smith has caught about how bad we were I still feel our defense was light years ahead of any defense petrino ever fielded. Gotta work on CB's shedding defenders for screen passes and on finding a pass rush. If those two things get fixed by next season we're as good or better than we were last year.

I'm sorry but any of you that think arkansas doesn't score atleast 35 against anyone not named alabama is seriously mistaken. Mizzou was a top 10 defense and it was pouring and our offense couldn't play at full strength and we scored 28. Arkansas is playing at such a high level on offense we will score 35 against anyone. period. if the other team scores a bunch we will score more than 35 (if they aren't a prostyle this is possible, if they are a prostyle we will stop thier offense like we did Bama and LSU) I know bama scored 27 but we couldn't move the ball and the defense was on the field too much. we move the ball against anyone else. I'm sorry but mich st or Iowa gets killed by bama or arkansas. they wouldn't score that much on bama but bama's offense isn't great. they would score 14-24 on arkansas but arkansas scores 35.

That was my original sentiment… It's like everyone forgot just how explosive our offense has become. I'd easily say it a top 5 or 6 offense in the country the power 5.

As a fellow Razorback brethren, I appreciate your enthusiasm.

But there is not a team in the country who can't throw the ball against Arkansas.

MS and Iowa would both destroy the Arkansas defense.

Ended up being an unfounded rumor, because of course we're not that lucky.

Of course, after the last few games, I'm sure McElwain will probably take his piss test for him next year.
