Texas Bowl payout of $3 mill per team is more than twice as much as Liberty and Independence Bowls. Horns vs. Hogs, again.

SEC office has lost their fricking mind!!!

UM wont sell 500 tickets and USC not many more.

This. Meanwhile, Arkansas won't be able to get many tickets to Texas Bowl, 62,000 had already been sold before we knew we were going.

True, it's old school and nostalgic, but I was really kind of looking forward to playing Miami again. We've played Texas 77 times, Miami 2 (that I remember.)

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I was just curious and was looking at Texas' season stats. They're ranked (tied for) 101st in scoring offense.

I knew their offense was bad, but not offensively bad.

Not to be a homer, but we have the best looking matchup of all the second and third tier bowls in the SEC. Take a look:

Auburn vs. Wisconsin in the Outback Bowl

Wisconsin just got embarrassed, so if Auburn even lets them score it will look bad for the SEC.

East Carolina vs. Florida in the Birmingham Bowl

I would rather tweeze my pubes for three straight hours than watch this shitbox game.

Texas A&M vs. West Virginia in the Liberty Bowl

Memphis is a garbage town and that stadium sucks.

Iowa vs. Tennessee in the TaxSlayer Bowl

Bad name for a bowl and it's against a scrub Big 10 team.

Georgia vs. Louisville in the Belk Bowl

Georgia will be on edge because they would really hate to lose to Petrino. UGA fans are also Falcons fans.

Missouri vs. Minnesota in the Citrus Bowl

Seriously?

Miami vs. South Carolina in the Independence Bowl.

Miami and Carolina fans are supposed to travel to Shreveport? Yikes.

Notre Dame vs. LSU in the Music City Bowl

This one is pretty good actually. I still like ours better.

So there you have it. All the second and third tier bowls and we get to play in an NFL stadium against Texas. I'm pretty pumped right now.

I couldn't have scripted it any better so far. Kudos to Jeff and the boys.

I was just hoping we wouldn't get the Birmingham Bowl. Getting to play Texas in Houston is the best way this could have worked out.

BS I called the KeVaughn Allen not signing early saga.

Ole Davenport even had to delete his thread when I was right.

My crootin sources aren't great with bowl games, not a lot of experience.

I have not been to Houston in a millineum. Is the Galleria area a pretty good place to stay?

Is there a good place to stay in Houston?

I stayed in the Woodlands the only time I've been to Houston.

I do have a friend that lives in Houston I can stay with, but meh, not worth the drive for a 6-6 bowl game.

I called Dick out for not giving you credit and writing a web article and linking it as if he had a scoop.
