Dude he didn't play against A&M and him and bijon was mentioned specifically after the game as it "not being thier game". he isn't a pass rusher. idk where you got what you heard but I got mine directly from CBB

Froholdt would have to be good with the move or they wouldn't do it.

You don't take a chance on a 247 Top 100 player becoming disgruntled and transferring after his freshman season.

Hopefully this means he's one of the best talents they've ever seen at O-line,

or else we are really scrambling.

There is an interview with Bert out there were he says they never make a kid switch positions. They suggest and try to show them the upside, and let the player decide.

Well in the case of Duwop it was "switch or transfer". He can say he's never made someone switch, but he's certainly given unwanted ultimatums.

got mine from CBB as well during spring practice when he said specifically that froholdt was part of replacing some production on the DL we lost from flowers and philon.

Of course he said all sorts of other bullshite like our DL was going to be great etc. We were pretty good against the run though i'll give him that.

The latter is probably more realistic than the former.

They were 12th against the run, just didn't get the edge rush.

or penetration from the middle. They most of the time got blocked and held their ground then would stop them for a short gain or no gain.

When you linebackers can't cover it gives the QB an easy opportunity to get rid of the ball quickly

i dont' disagree but where I saw our linebackers struggle in coverage was crossing routes which leave time to at least pressure the QB. Instead they sat in the pocket and hit the kid in stride for big gains.

I think our safeties were the weakest position on the defense.

This forced Smith to have our CBs play softer coverage because he couldn't depend on the safeties being in the right spots.

It also caused our LBers to have to play softer and less aggressively and rarely allow them to blitz which would have helped our sack numbers. I don't remember ever seeing a corner blitz, not many for sure.

We got a little more aggressive in the second half of the season and that's when we got some better games out of our defense.

I hope Ramirez can progress in the position. Not sure Liddell has the speed to be great.

What we really need for one of these great defenses is either a core strong spot like we saw with the triangle last year or one defender at each level that is a playmaker. We've got greenlaw, hopefully agim comes in. One secondary player and we can have our defense look great again.

We didn't really have an amazing player in the secondary in 14. I really think its all about the Dline since Robb doesn't like to blitz that much.

Dline is by far the most straight forward but I think a playmaker at each level allows a similar defense. You can pick any wayward passes, rush the QB, and take the running back down 1 on 1 with that.

Or we can get the triangle going which allows you to leave all your stars in one area and give the other side of the field numbers so that you push plays to your star players and when they run away from them you hit a wall of guys.

I'll never question BB eye for oline talent.
Froholdt is a strong kid who doesn't have to get penetration at the point of attack on the online. He just has to stand his ground.
If BB sees something then I'm all for it.
