Has anyone compared Reed to Randy Moss yet?

After that TD against LSU and seeing him return kicks, I can't help but see Dominique Reed as basically the same player as Randy Moss. I'm worried he's going to the draft after this year.

Similarities:

Height: 6'4"
Speed: Sub 4.4 40's
Hands: Great
Moves: Both can make you miss
Playmaking: Both can go up and get the ball

Compare what Reed did against Tennessee and LSU. with Randy Moss taking quick pass to the house.

By the way, that Randy Moss play is just like the option play we have where BA can decide to shoot it out to the WR at anytime. Lined up in I-form and it looks like the O-line was blocking for run and the 'backs were expecting run. I know that's not crazy since a lot of teams use that play, but just something I noticed.

Physically he has a lot of similarities to Moss, but he has a long way to go as a route runner. I highly doubt he takes a gamble and leaves early. Plus, he grew up a razorback and he's living his dream. If this was year 3 then I could see him going early, but not in year 1.

He just looks like an NFL WR. I can only imagine what he would have been with 3-4 years instead of 2 here

he will stay. he doesn't have enough film for the NFL to take him just yet. he needs to bulk up a bit as he is really skinny.

I've thought about it, but surprisingly, this is the first I've heard anyone mention it.

Enos said he's faster then he looks and that causes people to take bad angles when pursuing him, which explains why he's able to break off long runs, when it looks like he'll get tackled. Despite being rail thin (just look at his narrow hips), he doesn't get pushed around easy, either.

I said the other day that I think he could be the best receiver we've ever had, with the exception of Bambi.

On that JCorn TD Reed had blocked his man all the way down to the 5 when the camera panned to him. Then he blocked him into the EZ so we could score.

Must suck getting shoved around by 5 foot long arms

I think we finally have the playmaker we've desired in Reed. He's a guy who can take it to the house, every time he touches the ball. Brandon's connecting with him well, so it's just a matter of giving him the opportunities to make it happen.

Texted something similar to a friend on Saturday. He definitely passes the eye test.

I don't see this. He is WAY too raw to go this year.

I frikin loved seeing that. Reminded me of when Jarius Wright blocked in front of Cobi on that TD against LSU right before halftime in 2010.

Reed has definitely emerged as a star. When I see him out in the open field, he has that long legged stride that Matt Jones used to have. Defenders think they have an angle and then boom, he's gone.

Yep. Dominique's a South Arkansas product....played high school football at Camden Fairview. And he's gonna be a really, really good one next season.

That's a very accurate comparison. He is blazing fast, cuts and runs like a deer. With that first touchdown against LSU, the second he made the first guy miss, I said out loud, "oh, he gone".

True. From what I remember reading about him around the time he was being recruited, he has developed as a player at an extraordinary level since high school and apparently, he just keeps getting better. I feel like we're very fortunate to have him playing for us at this time.
