He average about 7.2ppg at Texas Tech, I would expect about the same here, maybe a bit less around 6ppg. He'll be decent and knock down a couple 3's here and there and be a late game sub for outstanding free throw shooting and then subbed back out for defense like MA loves to do.

Nothing wrong with him and what he'll bring, just meant it as don't expect some crazy good player that will start and score 13ppg or anything.

I have no idea how good Tapita or Whitt truly are, but how does our team look for next year without Portis & Qualls?

G - Beard/Durham
G - Whitt/Bell/Hannahs
F - Jacorey/Watkins/Babb
F - Tapita/Miles
F - Moses/Thompson

Doesn't strike you as anything beyond average UNLESS Whitt and/or Tapita really take off as freshmen.

Kapita won't offer much initially, missed too much time with his injury, didn't play his entire senior season this year basically (5 games 2ppg before being shut down for year).

Whitt can potentially start day 1, he's significantly higher rated than Beard out of HS and Anton started at PG the last 3 months. And Whitt is a great defender which greatly helps his earlier playing time potential. Bell can't be a starter at the 2 because of how bad he is defensively...MA won't have it. I think Jimmy starts there before we've played 5 conference games.

But we also won't lose Portis AND Qualls, maybe one of the two.

The only thing that scares me is the possible lack of perimeter shooting.
I watched BYU put 5 guys on the floor who could fill it up from outside. I'm not real confident in any of these.

Bell, Hannahs, Qualls, and Babb can all hit threes. Qualls keeps getting better. Guard play wont be a prob next year.

Next year we will have the best perimeter shooting team we've had in a long while, not the best individual perimeter shooter in that time frame, but the best overall squad.

Dudley was on Bo today... (Not Literally, little man and all) and stated that he is confident that Qualls and Portis are a team when considering the future. They will either come back or leave together and are leaning towards coming back. He said, "I am confident at this time, of both of them being back"

FWIW....

Mid April is the deadline, wont be ling either way!

In other words...too good to be true for an accustomed Razorback fan.
