You can't blame anyone involved for going all in on Gus. If he says no we are still in good shape, we have virtually no competition for the coaches we are looking at.

Yeah, it looks like GOB's have been running the TN search and it's gone really badly.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fulmer names himself Head COach.

I don't think Gus is coming and I don't think the powers pulling these strings really do either. Heads would explode if Gus left what he's got going at Auburn. Maybe we had to go through these motions, make an offer to satisfy a few boosters. Hell, maybe we're colluding with Gus to soak Auburn to overpay him. I don't know, but it's not realistic or sensible to plan on him coming here.

I do believe our next coach has a game this weekend, but it's not Gus. Which one is the question?

Notice how all that pressure is off of a certain coach coaching Saturday, after an unconfirmed rumor was spread of him having a issue, never really went anywhere with the story or was confirmed, just got floated out there and some people backed off. Odd how that kind of happened about the time Mississippi St. was looking at him hard and heavy.

Its all right in front of your faces boys, just have to put two and two together. Its always been between one of two people.

After Horton is announced, how many games do you think they will add to WMS per year? Two or Three?

I honestly cannot fathom this being a real option. I'm with someone else in another thread that said we're floating his name around to temper expectations of who we'll ultimately bring in.

Hatfield on radio with Bo, wait for it.... mentions Tim Horton along with leaving Dallas/aTm game and playing a Mississippi school every year in WMS.

Used the talking point that everyone in the state gets to see a game that’s meaningful to them every year.

Also said Arkansas can be the best it can be by getting most players within 4-5 hour drive. So welcome back to signing Arkansas kids just because they are from here.

Not my first choice, I guess, but he would be a Home Run hire.
