Alvarez said his phone has already been ringing off the hook, and that he will probably be fielding calls from coaches and agents non stop.

Sounds like Paul Chryst is accepting the UW job.

Sconnie expected to hire Paul Chryst. Chryst ranked with 5th worst Coach Effect rating by CFB Matrix. Translation: this is good for us.

There's a Coach Effect rating?

Husker fans grasping at anything.

Should have held out for the Arkansas OC position. He will regret it in 2 years

I'm going to hate seeing this team handcuffed by Chaney for 2 more years.

Gary Andersen on Portland radio:

"It was a difficult, difficult situation. I was being told where to go, what to do."

And they say Barry isn't a problem

That definitely takes the air out of the "DURR it had nothing to do with Alvarez!" line that Wisky fans keep trotting out.

The guy has run off two really good coaches in two years and they're still worshiping him and sucking him off for coaching the bowl game. They really are a small time, loser fan base.

no kidding.

I'm looking forward to some schaden-browsing of their boards after they get stomped by Auburn and it comes out that Alvarez "requested" another shady bonus for coaching the bowl game.

He paid himself $200,000 to coach the bowl game this year due to "inflation and shite."

That's a direct quote.
