The event seems like a decent deal, for the beer and the glass and a little crawfish. But I'd probably head to Hugo's to eat some real food.

Follow @Fayettebrew if you are interested in keeping up with the local brewing scene. LINK

Hey, another craft brewery coming to Fayetteville, just north of campus.

We are beertown.

As if the area isn’t already poised as a contender for a “best beer cities” list, it looks like another craft brewery is in the works in Fayetteville.

A permit application was submitted to city planners for a microbrewery called Columbus House Brewery at 701 W. North St. just west of the railroad crossing.

I'm glad to see brewers starting to fill this niche. I moved from Fayetteville to Madison, WI a couple years ago and it really showed me how piss-poor the craft brew scene in NWA was.

Damn, I wish I could go to that. Looks like an awesome deal to me, but I paid $8 for a Shiner Bock last night.

I didn't make it to Foam Fest, but it is a growing event. Looks fun:

Columbus House brew pub update.

That will be

1, 2, 3, 4, 5 brewpubs/breweries in Fayetteville city, right?

I can't keep track of all of NWA anymore.

The "Tapping the Ozarks" documentary about the Fayetteville breweries is available to watch online now:

Cool stuff. I skipped thru most of the middle part where they go through the beer-making process.

Done about half of them. Fossil cove, apple blossom, core, and saddlebock.

Downtown Rogers has a lot of potential. I need to go visit their bars in a few months.

Frisco in Dowtown Rogers is my go to bar. Look for some big things to open up in the next couple of months. There will be a new burger place opening up owned by the same people that own The Rail Pizza Company. I'm sure it will have great burgers and a better beer selection. Additionally, a local architect is in the middle of a multi-year renovation of the opera house that has been boarded up since the 1930's. Will be a great music venue when it opens.
