The Rail is legit. Downtown Rogers was almost *almost ceded to the Messicans like Springdale has done and they nearly let the Jones Center get taken down with the demise of Emma St.

Lots of new investment is lined up for Emma Ave. We will see if there's enough down there over the next few years to induce white folks to move east of Thompson. E. Springdale has a lot of bad development and cheap apts. That might keep things rather trashy down there. E. Rogers has the lake and downtown Rogers always had better buildings, architecture and town layout than E. Springdale.
Going wet is going to do great things for Rogers and Bentonville over the next five years, I predict.

Without doubt Rogers is poised to grow healthier.
SLC is the expert on this, but Springdale is pretty limited in what they can offer greater NWA. I'd like to see some community or co-op agricultural parks pop up. This is an arena where Harp's could dominate and cut their material costs down. There's a lot of opportunity for locally sourced food here, and there's lots of land that could produce goods that has gone unused.

The other nice thing about downtown Rogers is the 10+ miles of singletrack bike / hike / running trails that are being built 2 blocks from all of this. The trails and breweries in the downtown areas are continuing to attract a lot of attention to these areas.
I'd also like to to see some coop agri parks take form. There were rumors Rogers was going to do one at the recycling center, but nothing has come of it yet. I'd love to see them do these at intersections by 49 where there is a lot of grass typically by bridges. I know insurance companies and lawyers would never let this happen, but it seems like there is a lot of land in these areas that could be better used.

I don't know about Rogers, but Fayetteville has several community gardens. Bentonville has a few. Fayetteville also has this happening right next to ONF off College Ave: Apple Seeds teaching farm

The Road Runner at College & Lafayette has one of these. Pretty cool, IMO.

Tour bus company opens in Fayetteville specializing in Ale Trail tours.

Also for those of you in Bennu, be on the lookout for Peddler's Pub pizza opening soon. Not specifically beer related but should be a good addition to the growing Bville downtown.

The Puritan/Fayettechill/Nightbird thing is pretty exciting. That building is getting a much needed facelift from Modus as well (hopefully they don't go nuts on it and manage to preserve the character of the space, though most of the character is in the smokehouse section where they host wedding events).

My understanding is that the new Fayetteville Community Radio 97.3 will also be in that building. I'm with ya, I hope Modus does something respectful with that space. It will soon be a lot more lively.

New tap room in Rogers. Are these guys and Core Architects the same family?

Core Brewing & Distilling Co. has been on fire since it opened in 2012. In the last 12 months alone it has seen 900 percent growth, which is enough to make the founder’s head spin.

Here's a cool little logo picture I found on Twitter of all the craft breweries in Arkansas right now.
Columbus House opens this weekend in Fayetteville, finally.

not nwa but i went to the lost 40 and ate a late lunch a few weeks ago and tried their sampler beers. i liked a few of them pretty well. seems like they're doing a good job of at least getting their stuff circulated in central ark. i think the bar thing at the new (moved redone) whole foods is lost 40 and i also saw their beer at several places while i was tooling around there that weekend.

I'm ready to try out Lost 40. Yellow Rocket pretty much does no wrong, so I imagine it will be awesome and successful.
I'm still drinking the heck out of the Ozark APA. By far my favorite session beer right now, and that's not even taking into account that it's locally produced. I just really, really like that beer.
