NWA as a whole is investing heavily into its downtown areas. As the cities continue to grow together, we will still have multiple "hip neighborhoods" interspersed throughout. Even downtown Siloam Springs is pretty cool right now, with beer gardens and good restaurants.

We had a GREAT time recently at Creekside Taproom. A bunch of families randomly ended up there. Kids all ran around like hellions by the creek while the adults sipped beverages on the porch. Had a bunch of pizzas and food truck food delivered from nearby places. It was kind of fun just to go experience a little different area. I agree with you about the downtowns. I think the major shift will come when people adopt a more "big city" mentality that 20-30 minutes isn't really a very long drive to go somewhere to eat/drink/entertain.

We regularly drive up to Bentonville now to eat. And speaking of... the new Press Room is BY FAR the best dining experience in NWA. Hell, probably in the whole state. The food is fantastic and really at a whole other level than anything that anyone else is doing in the region.

Building permits are only up 108% in Q1 2016 compared to Q1 2015, which was a great year itself.
