##Chaney said FB is still a work in progress. Said they are throwing a lot against the wall to see what sticks

##Chaney said Austin Allen got some 2 minute work today and did OK

##Michael Smith said Duwop had a good day today. He is said he is preparing all three of the freshmen to get on the bus and go to Auburn. He said Jojo is making good progress. He and Kendrick still have ways to go, but both making progress.

##He said what I said earlier on chat, people worried about too many WRs are assuming no one gets hurt. With Wilson going down last year he is very aware of injuries. Cowan missed time. Hatcher started season hurt. etc. etc.

##He said Keon has really come on since being challenged by Coach B.

Michael Smith says that Keon had a very good practice last night. Him and Drew Morgan are going to battle it out at flanker for the rest of the year. Demetrius Wilson really has secured his spot right now at wide out. As for JoJo Robinson, he's got a lot of talent but has a lot of high school tendencies still. On JoJo and Kendrick: "They'll both have a chance to play this year. I truly believe that."

There are a lot of injuries right now at fullback. Kody Walker is dinged up, as is Colquitt, and Chris Jones won't get his first day of full pads until tomorrow. It's really a play by committee right now.

Coach Thomas has been pleased with the progress of his running backs in the passing game. He noted that this is Korliss's first go around for two a days at running back. He's got 13 or so practices under his belt this fall and the spring ball exclusively at RB. He thinks Korliss's vision is excellent and he's really improved as a pass blocker the past week.

Arinze made a couple of nice hits today at fullback, but he's really the only one of the regular crew right now who is at full strength and playing.

BA said the offense had a good day today, No turnovers helped make it a good day.

If we don't turn the ball over and convert on third down we will be hard to beat. We have had a long summer and now we're ready to play other people. BA

BA said they are moving people in and out at fullback. We will put some tight ends back there to see what they can do. We are very versatile back there.

Brandon Allen pretty much confirms what we've already seen in the two open practices that Austin is taking the majority of the reps with the twos. He's harping on not turning the ball over and wants to limit turnovers on Saturday. The communication of the group of front has been a night and day difference, he said.

Drew said that the battle with Keon is in full swing, but Keon had a better day than him today. He started off his comments by apologizing for his scuffle with Carroll Washington. That's been blown out of proportion big time. In football, those things happen and they deserved to get chewed for mental mistakes during a two minute drill, but it really wasn't anything more than a mental mistake in my mind and everybody has those right now.

I'm assuming this is because our defense has been roughing them up.

Which is good bc fap fap good defense, but bad in the fact our run game relies on a bruising full back. Without a quality full back our run game suffers, the oline can only do so much.

Good point, which leads me to ask -- what was Bert's track record at Wisconsin with fullbacks? I ask out of ignorance, because we all know about his three headed monster attacks with guys like Clay, Ball and White and Ball, White and Gordon, but you never heard much about his fullbacks. Did he make use of walk-ons, position switch guys, oversized tailbacks, or what?

His best FB at Wisconsin, Bradie Ewing, was a 6'0, 210 RB out of high school that they brought in on scholarship.

Agreed. Most explosive player we've had in years and no one has any idea who he is.
