Nah man. Just a short while ago we were deep back there and josh Williams was never playing another down of football let alone starting at linebacker for us. We don't have any depth issues just quietly sit there and sip the Kool aid

Personally I prefer the kool-aid as opposed to worrying and complaining about things I can't control.

To each their own. I prefer to embrace both sides and run around from thread to thread spewing ny kool-aid/complaints

Reid Miller

I do remember that Chris Weinke said that Miller was a steal as a walk-on and that he would earn playing time.

Something to be said for a few more months in the S&C program and better coaching, hopefully.

Yeah if Liddell or Santos come out Coley will go in. Doubt we ever have Coley and Miller in at the same time.

That's assuming no one ever gets even a minor injury at either safety position.

Is Jamario Bell going to become another infamous legend of what could have been for a freak Southern Arkansas athlete?

He kinda seems like Duwop to me. Good enough athlete to play multiple positions but not good enough at just one to play over the other guys that play it full-time.

Still has plenty of time left though

This is another one of your posts C...

Just in the past 10 years, off the top of my head Arkansas has gotten these guys from South Arkansas...

Jarius Wright
Greg Childs
Chris Gragg
Byron Jones
Alan Turner
Bijohn Jackson
Jeremy Sprinkle
Matt Emrich
Dominique Reed
Dennis Johnson
Seth Oxner
Sosa Agim

And these guys haven't had offers and made it to the league...Kevin Payne, Kenneth Dixon...and Junction City just sent a RB to LaTech that is projected to have an impact for them this season. Smackover sent Jeff Savage's son to ULM where he is starting on the OL for them...but we did not offer.

If you want to look at a part of the state that just simply doesn't produce much in the public school system, look at the Delta or the Little Rock PUBLIC schools...but not South Arkansas. South Arkansas was a primary reason Petrino won so many games here.

and none of those had the hype that Bell has had since his Sophmore year.

He's got crazy measurables and a frame to be a NFL caliber athlete.

Plenty of them had hype coming out of high school. You generalized a certain portion of the state that has been a very solid producer of athletes for Arkansas lately. Mainly, that portion of the state is giving the UofA MORE athletes now than they ever had. Which is good, because the Little Rock school district has dropped. As they have dropped, South Arkansas as a whole has stepped up.

Bell is only a redshirt freshman. For one, its a little bit early to be calling any redshirt freshman anything. Flop, greatest ever, whatever. He still has four full years of eligibility left.

He is 6'5" 250lbs. That is a dime a dozen in the SEC.

Again, the kid is a redshirt freshman. It is quite early to be piling on the kid and labeling him anything.

Just calm down. You jump to conclusions way too often.

to be honest it's pretty much the only portion of the state that produces freak athletes outside of Little Rock.

You took too much exception to "South Arkansas".

No I didn't. You generalized a portion of the state we depend on and stated "Is he the next freak athlete to flop from South Arkansas" or something close to that.

What your statement suggested is that most athletes we get out of South Arkansas look like Tarzan and play like Jane. That couldn't be farther from the truth. That is why I listed everyone that I can recall recently who have been very solid players for us out of South Arkansas.

As I stated in my last post, he is just a R-Fr. It is way too early to be labeling any player anything that early in their career.
