Agim and Capps are 2nd string DT's.

Morgan as a KOR. Not sure I like him back there due to possibility of taking big shots. He seemed to have a nagging injury all last season.

Agreed

I think Santos Ramirez is going to become one of the better Safeties in this league with more experience. He had moments where he really impressed me last year as RS-Freshman.

Is Dominique Reed third string now? I was confused by the -or- -or-.

Also, Bijohn Jackson didn't crack the two deep

Is Roesler actually going to start over Beanum?

He should. Beanum hasn't had his shite together in a year.

It just means that it is extremely situational, although the coaches keep saying Hollister has been impressive

Oh ok, thanks. Having Reed return kicks is scary. He might get broken in half he's so thin.

I expect Cornelius, Morgan, Hatcher, Hollister, and Reed to all get their fair share of snaps.

Our weak side DL looks twice as good as the strong side

Also you've gotta figure Hammonds not being listed is just because putting 5 RBs down would be absurd. I'm betting he plays.

Reed has been hurt. I imagine, unless the game is close, that he won't play much.

Curious why they don't try Duwop at KR. Seems they're valuing hands over speed.

I'd like to see Hammonds at KR too. Guess I miss having DMAC and Felix back there and the anticipation for one of those guys to make a spectacular run.

I just don't see Morgan making those kind of plays. As stated above he's too valuable to risk injury on a KR.

Morgan says frick injuries, he'll just sit out one play to have it fixed on the sideline

Reed is probably the fastest guy on the team?

Morgan is pretty shifty though. He might not break one for a TD but he might consistently get more yards than someone with more top end speed but less agility.

It's not like punt returner though. On KOs you want speed over shiftiness 10/10 times. You have 10 LBs, DBs or skill position players running straight for you largely unblocked. Dancing won't get you far. You want a guy that will run straight forward as fast as he can until he gets KTFO or gets lucky and hits a good angle. Making 4 or 5 athletic guys miss on a punt return is doable. Trying to make 10 miss on a kick return will get you killed unless you're Devin Hester.

That's why Korliss returned kicks. He couldn't juke to save his life but he could run really fast.

Maybe the coaches wanted one guy with speed and one guy with moves back there.

Make the kicking team adjust for both. And the return type called would dictate if Morgan or Reed gets the ball. Seems like a good strategy.

One thing noticeable on there is the fact that Hayden Johnson gets the starting nod at FB over Kendrick Jackson. The coaches have raved about him since he hit campus.

Maybe it's me, but it's sort of scary that Reid Miller is our backup FS.

Also, I haven't heard a peep about Taiwan Johnson in forever. I honestly forgot he hadn't graduated until I saw this two deep.

especially considering Robb Smith's statements about him back in the spring about him giving great effort and playing hard but having physical limitations for SEC ball that would keep him from playing. Not an exact quote but that's the gist of what he had to say about Miller.

A week or two ago, one of the coaches said that Coley was the backup to both safety spots. Not entirely reassuring but Miller most likely won't be first guy up there.
