He has reached his ceiling, got to start out at double A this year and is getting rocked with an over 5 ERA on the year and over 6 in his last 10 games. Probably get sent back to single A here soon.

I really thought Suggs had that nasty closer mentality though. Seemed to have big leaguer written all over him.

I think once Killian gets 100% for a while he will do well out of this group.

Little fact that I didn't know: Nick Schmidt is still the all time strikeout leader at Arkansas. Freshman all american, 2006 SEC pitcher of the year, first round pick....never reached the majors.

Made it as high as triple A twice, bombing out both times, and then getting one last shot this time as a reliever last year....7.53 ERA in 10 appearances, and was cut, ending his career.

Killian might, the arm trouble is always concerning and heaven forbid it pop back up in the pros early on...many never recover it seems.

McKinney is obviously an easy pick to think may have some real pro potential. Jackson too, with some work on his mechanics to improve control, his stuff his filthy.

Who did we ride hard in that 2004 post season? Seems like someone pitched 200 pitches at some point.

Charley Boyce. Clint Brannon was our #2 apparently. I remember Boyce pretty well now that I found the name.

Boyce ended up throwing like 110 pitches to open that regional then came back on Sunday and threw like 100 more. Was insane.

quote:

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas relied on a pitcher who threw
14 1/3 innings and 203 pitches in two days and a catcher who caught
four games in that time to beat Wichita State twice Sunday and win
an NCAA regional baseball title.

Charley Boyce threw the final 7 2/3 innings in Sunday's second
game -- just a day after throwing 99 pitches in a losing effort
Saturday -- and beat Wichita State 4-3.

Wow so it was back to back games, sheesh, I thought it was a Fri-Sun thing. That shite would never happen now in a million years.

And just for the hell of it:

quote:

Paschal Heat, Air & Geothermal - Charley Boyce purchased the company from previous owner Harold Kimrey in December of 2012.

Lmao holy shite:

quote:

Casey Rowlett currently serves the Company as a Salesman, with initial Company experience as an Installation Assistant since June of 2012.

Rowlett was our starting RF on that team, so he bought that company and hired his old baseball buddy at Ark. That's awesome.

Craig Gentry is still in the majors.

Of all the position players, he has somehow been our best one.

Logan Forsythe is a utility guy for the Rays and is doing pretty well. Barrett Astin is doing well in high-A in the Reds organization. DJ Baxendale is also having a good season in AA Chattanooga in the Twins organization. He also plays on an absolutely stacked team.

Another W for Dallas. 8 shut out innings. He's now 10-3 and only 2 wins away from matching last years win total. It helps when you actually have an offense.

16-6, 2.24 ERA, and if it wasn't for Gray, he'd be running away with the Cy Young.

He's 12-0 at home this year in a hitter friendly Minute Maid Park. He's also got a 38 game streak of going at least 6 innings.

Dude is an absolute stud.

1 more bump.

Dallas is the pitcher of record with an 8 run lead. It'll be his 20th and should lock up the AL Cy Young.
