Ok first of all why would Tressel come here?
Why would we want him? Zero ties to the south or recruiting in the south. I thought we were tired of Yankees ruining football here?? He has also kept his coaching skills sharp as president of Youngstown state

I understand the importance of southern ties, but with bigger names, I would think ties are Less important. Maybe not, I'm not a coach and I find myself wrong...often. Idk why he would come here, why would Bert? Why would anyone? He is probably not the best or most likely. He is however a pretty good coach if you are implying he is not. I'm sure he hasn't forgotten how to coach.

Idk about this whole Yankee thing and ruining football. Seems to me Leslie and Nicholas have done well despite being Yankees. I'd rather have someone from the south west or south east too, but there are other intangibles that are just as important.

Non sequitur. I don't care what Petrino's was. I care that Bert's is garbage.
One is directly related to the other.
Lets say Bert was fired and Dykes was hired and he went 1-11 then 2-10 in his first two seasons, similar to as happened when he replaced a pro-style HC at Cal, you would be fine with that?

Bielema was a pretty big name, won his conference 3 straight times. Everyone was surprised when he moved here from a seemingly good gig at Wisky. Just being a big name isn't enough. How many years would we even have Tressel if he came? He's 62 at the moment

That is true. I'd rather have a young lad, who could potentially be around for the long haul.

What happened his third season in this scenario? Was his team ranked? Was his team a joke?

Bert's buyout is indefensible.
Lol, that's all you've got? Should've known, people that spout shite and whine like you can never back it up with any kind of rational, reasonable thought.

Bert's team was rank this year.

What would his team's record be with Arkansas's schedule so far this year?
What would Bert's record be against his schedule?

We call that an ad hominem. Would you care to discuss the point? I'm surrounded by children.
