Bobby Knight drives me crazy with that shite.
Fran Fraschilla and Seth Greenberg are much worse.
The problem is they have used the ESPN media to drive their agenda to the point where the casual fan actually believes their points of emphasis are the only way to win games while at the same time devaluing other equally or more important facets of the game because they were never good teachers at those or their teams were not able to execute in those areas of the game.
If you listen to Dick Vitale today, its hard to believe he was ever a head coach.
Knight doesn't bother me as much because he's usually harping on the fundamentals of the game, which are severely lacking today which is part of the reason why the game isn't as good today as it was back in the 80s and 90s. So when he's harping on not giving up the baseline, not jacking up a shot the first trip down the court when you are put into the game, using a shot fake to create a better shot, etc. You can only hope the young guys watching these games are actually listening to his advice and practicing those fundamentals, there is more to the game than going out and getting yours.

Oh and I mentioned it before here, but will do so again, Clint McDaniel will be doing color commentary on the SECN during games this season.
That is pretty exciting as he has played several different styles on several different levels and knows the game. He will also give the Razorbacks a presence during all the telecasts he's part of. Basically a Jimmy Dykes without the Sutton/Kentucky love, which means once he gets the TV Flow down, he could easily be moved to the larger primetime ESPN broadcasts.

Don't watch a lot of ESPN anymore because of all the talking heads. Same with cable news.

frick Chuck Barrett. Baseball was all he was good at. frick our athletic department. frick Jeff Long and frick our media.
I know it's easy to hate on the AD right b/c we suck at every sport, but really, what good has Jeff Long done in hindsight at this point? I really wish he would've jumped ship to Texas and we could've got a fresh start from the top down.

The fact that we have sucked at every sport while increase revenue and adding a new FOC, BBPF, and BBIPF, as well as other renovations and facility upgrades is astounding.
Broyles had to have the team performing at an all time high and kiss the right arse to get anything done the two decades prior...

You mean other than hiring two fantastic, big name football coaches (both when our program was in the toilet), having revenues at an all time high during an almost unparalleled dry spell in the Big 3 sports, and spearheading an aggressive facilities upgrade plan, all while essentially staying out of day to day matters and allowing our coaches to coach?
