I will be staying in your fine city in December and am planning on booking some well-appointed accommodations near the River Market. Looking at the Capital Hotel, it looks expensive, but is it worth the added cost? I also see a Courtyard and a Double Tree nearby, but I always like to stay in historic hotels when possible (ie, The Arlington).

***Disclaimer: I understand all accommodations in Central Arkansas are, by definition more "honest", less "carpetbagger" and supported the Razorbacks for decades while the largest building in NWA was George's chicken houses.***

If you are looking to stay on a budget, check out the Ritz, its just a little ways off University.

It's definitely worth it. Best hotel by far in Little Rock. Good atmosphere down in the lobby, great staff, good location.

Just stay in Memphis. It's cleaner and safer.

There is a residence inn and Hampton Inn just around the corner that are in good spots that are half the price. However, for history, accommodations, etc nothing else is close to the Capital Hotel.

The Capital is awesome. Great bar and restaurant. Plus that toffee they leave on your pillow!

You will find sticky treats on your pillow at the Ritz also.

As far as historic, that's your only option. Certainly other acceptable options, but not historic.
Have a great time!

Like others have already mentioned, it is definitely worth staying in the Capital. We need to make a tRock Dining and Activities Mega Thread so I can bitch about restaurants and shite. I would make it myself, but I don't want to. Putting in effort is overrated.
