Take a moment and realize this is Bielema's first year. He was dealt a shite hand and is doing the best that he can with it

I don't care what coach we had hired. Saban couldn't win with these guys.

Let's list some coach's first season records who turned the team around:

Art Briles - 4-8
Mike Gundy - 4-7
Bobby Petrino - 5-7 (Remember our Lord and Savior in his first season? We sucked absolute arse his first year. If they had played in this year's SEC they'd have a similar record to this year's team. Oh and the fricking QB play. Casey fricking dick. Tyler Wilson looked like shite too. Petrino, one of the best QB coaches in the nation couldn't develop these guys instantly. And you want to bash the staff for Allen? I'm not a big fan of Chaney and wouldn't care if he left because he seems to panic at times, but his QB development is definitely there. It also doesn't help when there's basically no competition at the spot. Not to mention Allen got hurt, adding to an already bad QB. Hard to say how much the injury has contributed to his poor play but the improvements are there. He hit rock bottom against SC. 32 fricking yards passing. That's some shite you do if you're Mississippi State. Not Arkansas. And I'm not condoning the piss poor play he's shown. But if any past events are indicative of the future, it's that Allen still has a chance to be decent. Hell, maybe even good. I don't think he will but it's not the staff's fault. I can see his mentality at times when things aren't going his way and it's just not good. The next 2 years will be a LOT better for the QB's. More competition = better play (usually). Can't wait to see Peavey, Storey, and Austin fighting it out in 2015.)
Bill Snyder - 1-10
Butch Jones - 4-8 (Cincy)
Saban - 7-6 (Bama) and 6-5 (Michigan State). Not especially bad records, but relative to his other records they're way different

Also, a good first season isn't always predictive of a good future.

A list of coaches who did well their first year and ended up burning out:

Houston Nutt
Gus Malzahn (bound to happen. And yes please downvote me because I know you Auburn lurkers are obsessed with Arkansas and will find this thread eventually)
Lane Kiffin

There are more for both but I can't think of them

tl;dr stfu and give him time

Nice post.

What year do you foresee 2B's getting the Hogs in the top 3 of the West?

If we're not at least 3rd/4th in the division by 2015 I'll start to get worried

It could happen in 2014 though. That schedule is a cakewalk compared to past schedules

Use the power of Ted Nugent and bookmark the balls off it. I don't care.

We get Bama and Lsu at home following a bye, thanks to tJeff Long (praise his name).

Our Sec road games are Auburn, State, and Mizzou. We could easily go 2 for 3.

A&M in Dallas and we own them there.

We can get to 3rd in the West no problem next year.

I think some poster here need to chill out, but on the opposite end of the spectrum.

Just because a person is critical of our coaches, doesn't mean we want them fired. I'll admit, I do want Chaney on the first uhaul out of town.

This is a message board. This board is great because we don't pump sunshine. On the opposite side, we do not have any overly amount of posters who are negative Nancy's 24/7...outside of a few, but a few can be dealt with.

I'll lay it all out and explain my issues with Bert....again, this doesn't mean I don't think he will work out in the end, but these are things that bother me...so here is my opinion....First of all, he needs to keep his arse out of the bars and off the bottle during game week...Fayetteville is small and it rubs people the wrong way...

Bert came here and probably didn't totally understand how lacking in talent we actually were....he probably didn't study us that much before taking the job...he knew, prior to last season, he had a group of seniors who had won 25 games in 4 years, or redshirt seniors who won 33 games in 4 years...a group who had a two year record of 21-5, but may have just had a rough go of it last year.

He was wrong. In being wrong, he talked a ton of shite on twitter, at Razorback club meetings across the state, etc. he set himself up for a lot of this criticism IMO. Had he been like most all coaches in the SEC and not been active on twitter, I think fans aren't as open in their criticism right now.

As the season started, many thought ULL was a legit semi-legit OOC team. We won going away. Looked great. I even bumped a thread asking if we would be better than what we had all predicted. Then comes Samford and Southern Miss(this is where I began to feel fishy on Chaney). As fans, there were excuses made on why the Samford game wasn't more of a blowout. Chaney started with the offense excuses by saying, "we aren't showing our passing game because we don't have to" bologna. Southern Miss game happens, with a legit opportunity to work on the passing game with your back up QB and we don't. Again, Chaney says we don't have to show anything. If we need to pass, don't worry, we will be able to.

Fast forward to now. Sitting 3-7 with no chance of going to a bowl. Zero wins in conference. Officially tied the longest losing streak in school history. Which, is only the 3rd time in our programs history we have lost this many games in a row. Only one coach has lost this many games in a row since we joined the SEC and he was fired.

The talent or lack there of is apparent to any of us with announce of football knowledge. This staff though, has contributed to the failure of the season. A fake punt call against South Carolina. Multiple bad play calls inside the two yard line against Auburn. An onside kick very early in the game against Auburn. A half back pass against Ole Miss. I could list a few more, but you get the point.

Someone on this staff seems to have an itchy trigger finger. All or most of those calls are made when things are rolling quite nicely on offensive series. They've all been game or momentum killers. So, someone needs to answer for them.

Some may disagree with me on my next statement and that's fine...but as a former player at the collegiate level, calling out players by name in post game press conferences isn't going to win any votes in that locker room. Especially when the kid isn't a senior. Kids who are planning on returning will remember that as long as they're here. It sets up an awkward relationship going forward.

The player called out most recently knows he missed tackles. He knew it the instant it happened. Going back to Bert's twitter rumblings when he first took the job, sometimes it's best to keep your mouth shut publicly and say things in house. What would be the reaction if a player took to twitter and openly criticized a call by his staff? Or said so in a press conference? There would be back lash of course.

Openly crticizing the entire defense about missed tackles would be enough. The players know who they are.

This is probably what has happened by calling someone out.....Players do not pay attention to hardly anything press conference related 90% of the time....Tevin likely got a call or text from a player or friend, maybe a family member and they asked him if he had heard what coach said about him after the game....he likely said no but then got on his phone or computer to find out what had been said...I'm sure he didn't like it and only Tevin knows what his feelings were in that moment.

How many of us have jobs where you work as a team, but independently, your job reflect on the production of your group? What would be your reaction if your boss called you out in front of everyone and it made you feel not so good? It's an honest question. I feel like bosses who do that, are riding the fence in the reaction they get. There's a legit 50/50 chance you will lose all connection to that employee.

Maybe all this makes sense. As I keep typing, I feel like I'm rambling....hopefully this is understandable to you all....

They are both expressions of probability in the contextual way.

Are they not? Maybe you shouldnt try to insult others on the Internet without exploring the possibility that you aren't the smartest person in the world. I don't even have a keyboard to make this easier.

By the way, what year did you graduate from UofA?
