I think Brandon Allen played about as well as anyone for us. He's just not a game winner, which brings up another thought.
Everyone has games where they struggle, but good teams rely on playmakers at skill positions to make a difference and win the game. We have no playmakers. Collins, Allen and Hatcher aren't those type of players. Maybe RWIII, Reed or Jojo are, but they don't see the ball.

BA was our best player on the field most of the day today, outside of about 3 plays. Penalties, lack of pass rush, and lack of running game lost us this game. His pick in the end zone and his overthrow of Henry were inexcusable without a doubt, but this isn't on him.
And if you can't see his improvement from 2013 to now then you just have a blind hatred of him. Hell, go watch his throws from last season and his throws from the last 2 games and notice the difference. It's there and it's pretty obvious.

Throw 53 passes and your bound to miss a couple. I can't fault Allen for this loss in the slightest.

Exactly, and this has been the problem his entire career. We have to have a QB who can pull it out, even when the coaches & rest of the team are sucking. He doesn't have it, never will. Not bashing him at all; that's just a fact. And in all honesty, he is the worst QB I've seen at Arkansas in decades, seriously.

Hey Sarge! I've been busy trying to get moved, life, etc. 
... Just thought I'd stop in to say we sucked royally yesterday, everyone from the coaching staff to the players to the water boy. Shitty shitty "effort" by most everyone. ... Very reminiscent of this idiot & his unspeakable season which if comes to pass, I will just not be able to stomach.

This. Anyone stating otherwise is a blind homer or completed in denial. He sucks arse when it counts. Some have it and some don't. He don't. It can't be taught. If BA remains our QB, this shite is what the rest of our season holds. Unless our D shuts out the other team....we fricking lose. They gave up 16 points. And one of those TD's was on a very short field thanks to the offense and special teams. 16 motherfricking points. And you guys think BA is great? He can't put 17 points up against TOLEDO???!!!! GTFO!!!

I've said this many times about BA and with the caveat of he is playing much better this year I agree with you.
I wouldn't say he is the worst QB we've had in decades though. We've seen our share of poo at the QB position after all.
Brandon Allen is a middle of the road QB. A journeyman QB if you will. That isn't the end of the world mind you. Give him support from a strong running game so that he doesn't have to win the game for you and he will do just fine.
Right now we are an Air Raid team even though everyone thinks we are a power running squad. Until we can develop a successful rushing attack Allen is going to put up a ton of yards but like a lot of spread teams we are going to struggle in the red zone.
Brandon Allen isn't the problem right now, but he's also not the solution.

I'll agree w that. And I've been to harsh on Brandon. And he's the best we have currently. But it is obvious, if HE has to do jack shite to win us a game. We are doomed. He simply folds under ANY pressure. He's scared to get hit. He overthrows EVERY pass that means jack shite.
Of course, I have no solution. This year is gonna be shite. Replay of last year at best. And if he is the best we have....we're fricked for the next four. BB is in his third season and this is the shite we are supposed to think is "progress"? No. frick that. Grace period is over for that fat, shite talking blow hard. Time to see some substance. Time to talk to the o line and inform them that there are ZERO excuses for getting teabagged by TOLEDO. Our o line needs to lose some weight, get their fatasses in shape and get mean. And someone needs to tell skipper that stupid arse penalties don't equal mean or tough. It just means you're a dumbass that gets manhandled by guys half your size. frick these candy asses. And yes, I'm still pissed and melting.

Casey Dick wasn't a shite show in his last year under Petrino. He was scared to go down field or make a mistake, but he was not a pussy. I'll take Casey in crunch time over BA ANY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Both Casey and Brandon lived thru hell during their tenures with the hogs. I will always appreciate them for plugging away during the drama if nothing else.
