Trey Biddy
@TreyBiddy
I now have very good reason to believe Bobby Petrino will be the new Arkansas offensive coordinator. Nothing signed yet I'm told, but the deal is in the works. #wps

Why would anyone want BP? He's over the hill. He didn't exactly light it up at Gay and M and they have a much better o-line.

I’ll go on record and agree with you. This is not going to be lightning in a bottle.

I sincerely hope I am wrong and will gladly eat my crow if this results in us winning more games. I just don’t see it

Probably not, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be robbed of what little joy this can bring in a time of absolute misery.

We need something, ANYTHING to be excited about. Pull the stick out and sail this offseason. If it doesn't work out, so what? We hire a new coach next year.

The talking point will be that he was handcuffed by Jimbo (which is possible).

The fact is that this would be a home run hire by the athletic department...even if it's not ultimately a home run on the field.

It puts interest in the program through the roof, saves a ton of revenue with ticket renewals, and buys them enough time to limp along until Sam is shitcanned next year.

There's no stick, BP will not workout unless 2 things happen.

1. He brings back his old offense.
2. Kennedy gets fired.

Would it even work though?

We could work the portal for better talent but this offensive roster is in rough shape from a play maker standpoint imo.

True. I’m intrigued. But our OL is still trash. And I don’t think that gets fixed in 1 season

It's all about getting a few solid OL and a few Petrino type WR's out of portal.

Petrino knows how to coach offense regardless how different the game is now. He had Lamar Freaking Jackson for goodness sakes. He can adapt.

I think A&M’s biggest problem is they have no culture (neither do we) and they brought in a bunch of high ranked dudes with no leaders so it was all looking out for themselves.

He definitely is, but I could see him getting that fire back with a chance to redeem himself here.

It worked against us at Missouri State, his problem is he doesn’t like to recruit. Which Pittman dealt with from Odom for 3 years.

I’m not a big Petrino fan, but I can’t ignore his results while he was here when given the right players.

This will also put the Petrino talk to bed once and for all.

Time to hit the portal hard for olinemen and receivers and hit the ground running.

Time for the university to pony up some nil cash. Head em up, move em out…rollin rollin rollin….rawhide!

Didn't their starting QB get hurt for the year?
