Worst: Arkansas (No. 47)

Home to Walmart Stores, Arkansas' best feature is its low cost of living, according to Bankrate. A relatively rural state, Arkansas offers nature lovers a host of options with four distinct but moderate seasons. The state's diverse topography features the Ozark Mountains in the north, Mississippi deltas to the east and grassy lowlands to the south. Little Rock, the state capital, offers museums and sight-seeing opportunities, including the vibrant River Market shopping district and the William J. Clinton Presidential Library. And home prices are well below the national average.

Best Feature: Cost of living

Worst Feature: Happiness

Its a slide show

I blame Jeff Long and bad Commercially produced foods for the worst feature

North Arkansas summers are relatively mild most years. I don't think we cracked 100 at all last year. Maybe not the past two. Can't remember.

This.

I grew up in the Delta, and summers there are absolutely brutal. NWA summers are comparatively very mild.

Florida or Texas for me. Freezing my nuts off right now in Korea when I'm done working I want to be able to wake up in december and drink coffee on my porch in shorts and flip flops.

Sounds like a Caribbean Island or a Yucatan hideaway is up your alley.

Yep. And until late July to August, most nights it cools down in the Ozarks. I lived in DFW and the heat was a lot worse. In general, weeks where you see highs above 100 every day are common. The next thing is how it never cools off sometimes. Sitting on your porch at night and it's still above 90 in the dark. Cray Cray.

NWA has mild summers. I wish winters were all as mild as this one has been.

OP is terrible.

State is beautiful. Just wish we had an NFL or NBA team. I want to live in a place where I can run and catch a game whenever like Dallas

We were #46, we smoked the pigs!

Must be our arid and very pleasant climate or our beautiful and distinct 3 seasons, consisting of cold and wet 10 days of winter, warm, muggy 2 days of spring , and hellacious hot and muggy summer!

Wut? Arkansas is the ideal State for retirement!!! All those free meds in the chicken -

Seriously, if they legalize weed, I might need to relocate for a backeotomy.
