We have lost to the #14, #26 and #31 teams in the AP.

Well unfortunately we are playing 5 or 6 more at that level or better.

The bottom?

Bert is 2-15 in the SEC, and I would say 0-8 with back to back 52 point losses might have been the bottom. Who's to really say where the bottom is, Bert still has plenty of games to coach this year.

Problem is we have basically no freshman or sophomore impact players, which is not a good sign.

In order to have impact freshman you need to have elite recruits.
We have some good recruits who need time to develop.
Patience

Once we have those players developed we should have more coming behind them. It takes time.

It is starting to look like Bert's impressive press conference performances and mission statements aren't carrying over to the field.

One day we will have a lineup of RS SR's....who hopefully won't throw balls off the uprights when the game is on the line at home against Toledo.

Sure it is, we are fighting between Auburn, USCjr and Vandy. We drop Saturdays game and definitely legit.

I keep looking for positives, convince myself I see some.
Then I come back to the fact that we're 1-3, when we should be AT WORST (imho) 3-1.

In business, it all comes down to the bottom line.

ETA: We're 1/3 through the season, so I can't evaluate the whole enchilada this early. But it hasn't gotten off to the start it should have realistically gotten off to.

Who knows, things may gel and take a huge upswing. Just have to wait and see. But it will be hard to take the stench off the losses to Toledo and Texas Tech, even if they are not BAD teams.
