I was asking the board to list the Pro's and Con's of how Jeff Long has impacted the big 4 programs. Also asked that the answers not be duplicated so I could compile a list.
Definitely a ban worthy thread.
I also commented to a poster that I was doing this because I was losing a conversation defending Long and was looking for peoples opinion.

If you read my posts in this thread, I said that I thought it was too early to call on who would have been the better hire.
Look, Gus is doing really well and we are... well not doing so well. It's natural to question coaching decisions when you look like we have the last 3 weeks. I haven't brought up anything that everyone wasn't already thinking about.
Some of you seem upset that someone would even question whether or not Bielema is the right guy. I still think he could be, though I'm a little worried. Is that opinion really going to cause some sort of devastating fracture in the fanbase? I doubt it.

He couldn't have. People just don't want to realize that. Auburn has recruited well the last 3 years. We lost 22 from 2010 and 2011.

We're going to be alright, we're just taking lumps right now while CBB builds this thing. I have faith he will get it done, but to do it right, without shortcuts, we're just going to have to take them right now.
He's got part of the foundation in Kirkland, Skipper, Collins, Henry, Philon, Koehler and more help is on the way next year.

We'll be going after Gus in 3 to 4 years. If he has and NC at Auburn and still has love for Arkansas, he may come home. Otherwise we'll hire another fatass buffoon to shite wreck the ship.

We're still pretty much exactly where we expected to be.
Last year we went 4-8 and we lost our most talented players. We have zero depth and are the youngest team in the SEC. We have TWO true freshmen starting on the offensive line. We have no linebackers.
I'm just curious as to what you expected? Also, it takes time to build depth from nothing.. but given the contributions of this last freshman class already I think a lot of folks just need to shut up and be patient.
Nutt started 8-0. Look at how that ended up.
Auburn is one of the four MOST experienced teams in the SEC. Arkansas is the LEAST experienced team in the SEC. The other top 3 most experienced? Mississippi, Tennessee and Mississippi State.
What we're experiencing are the pains of a transition year after dealing with very poor recruiting classes and having to learn to play defense. It has become pretty obvious that Bobby reached his ceiling here. Gus Malzahn still hasn't beaten a solid team. They needed poor officiating and playing to injure to win against A&M. (I might remind you that we were in the A&M game only we committed turnovers and they did not)
I will not at any point support Gus Malzahn at Arkansas because he plays a brand of football (cheating, not the spread) that is unacceptable.
