Ole Miss now scares me. I feel like Kelly will shred our defense across the middle.

Bama is bama.

Like our chances against LSU, MSU and Mizzou of course.

A&M looks like another toss up IMO. Really hope we're just due on this one.

What do the rest of ya'll think?

not ready to pass judgement after just 1 week. Lots that needs fixing....
sadly if Fojholt is our best LG we are in bad shape... dude was more lost in pass pro than Richard Simmons at a strip club.

Thought we didn't trust our running game enough early and put Austin in some bad situations... needed to get him on the edge more. defense had moments... good and bad
think we will be ok... but this week has me nervous

I'm just taking it game-by-game. TCU looks beatable, allowing that FCS team to hang 41 on them. The fact that it's a road game makes me nervous, but they're not very good.

Still the same old Arkansas team. The quick passing game kills us, strong against the run, got away from the run game on offense to quick. Bright spot was AA, sure he had a bone head moment with the first int but for a first start it was a pretty impressive performance considering how much push their line was getting. The O line left a lot to be desired but can only improve.

TCU looks vulnerable, though I'm wondering whether they were simply overlooking SDSU in anticipation of our game.

A&M looked so-so, but our series with them as of late has been so schizophrenic. They start out hot and fade, whereas we start out slow and get stronger, and our game tends to be the fork in the road. I can see this as yet another L unless we shore up both pass protection and pass defense.

Bama looks great yet again, but Bert usually gets us up for that game. We'll see. I tend to be pessimistic on a yearly basis about our chances against Bama, but I'm not writing this one off yet until I see the TCU game.

Florida looked bad on Saturday, and it looks like their offense might have gotten worse.

Auburn looks great on defense but they're a tire fire on offense.

Ole Miss, despite their historic meltdown last night, looks really good. We might singlehandedly put Chad Kelly in the driver's seat for the Heisman if we don't get right in pass coverage and keep him in check on the ground.

LSU is us circa 2007. Their fan base might be in full blown civil war mode by the time this game rolls around.

State looks awful, and they have no quarterback or offensive leadership.

Mizzou is dreadful.

We're 1-0. We have two more gimme games in Alcorn State and Texas State to put us at 3 given wins. I see us beating at least 2 of the 3 of LSU, State and Mizzou. Auburn and Florida are toss-ups in which I'm leaning toward a win, and Ole Miss and A&M are toss-ups in which I'm leaning towards a loss. TCU is just a straight toss-up.

If we win 2 of those 3 winnable SEC games, go 2-3 in those 5 toss-up games, and lose to Bama, we go 7-5 as I predicted. That's also factoring in us losing a stupid one we shouldn't and winning one we shouldn't.

Do you think maybe the same could be said for us? The Arkansas that lost to Toledo last year was not the real Arkansas. I'm hoping it's the same with the team that barely beat Louisiana Tech.

Texas State isn't a gimme when we beat LA. Tech by one point and lost to Toledo last year.

La Tech, Toledo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Texas State

Texas State was 3-9 last year

Don't lump all G5 teams together

Louisiana Tech won nine games last year competing in the CUSA. They beat a whole two teams with winning records: a 7–6 Middle Tennessee and a 9–4 Arkansas State in their bowl game.

I'm not saying Texas State is better than LA. Tech, but everyone is acting like LA. Tech is in the upper echelon of the G5s. They're not. We played down to a terrifically sub-par team. It's early enough that we might do it again.

We had several bright spots, such as AA, the RB corps, WRs, and our run defense. But for every bright spot, we had some pretty glaring weaknesses like our LBs, pass defense, and oline. I don't see our bright spots going away as much as our weaknesses getting better (albeit slowly), so I really have no idea what to think at this point. I think we're in for another season of starting slow and finishing dominant, I just hope we can avoid an early bad loss in the same fashion as Saturday.

AA and the offense should only get better in time, and it looks like they could be a pretty potent unit by mid-season if the oline can even become serviceable. Our defense scares the shite out of me, especially against someone like Chad Kelly who can pick us apart. Hopefully we can improve week to week with some film review.

I don't care if we beat TCU and Texas St by one point as long as we escape our early season shakes with some Ws. I think we'll definitely lose to Bama and OM unless something drastic changes with either team, the rest look like toss-ups based off first week performances.

I honestly thought our linebackers played fine

Why? Our defense honestly looked fine to me. The offense was sputtering for a decent amount in the second half, leaving the defense out to dry and for the most part they responded. Take away that run right before halftime where we were essentially playing prevent and Tech had like 45 rushing yards. That's pretty fricking good in my book.

I agree, our defense played great in my opinion. Held a pretty good offense to under 300 total yards. Our offense played exactly how they played against Toledo last year...we just happened to win this one.

Any team that can throw would mop the floor with us right now. Thank god we didn't schedule Tech again.

No idea how people are saying this. We had 515 total yards against Toledo and they had 318 against us. Clearly outplayed them. We had 297 yards against LA Tech and they had 291 against us. Nowhere fricking near the Toledo game.

Cody Hollister needs to learn to catch.

He killed 2 drives which changed the game.

Similar play calling that inexplicably went far away from the run and play action pass and into shotgun and 5 step drops.

I texted my brother after Hollister's second drop and said "Hollister was out all last year and we managed to field the best receiver corps in the country which we return this year, and get Hatcher back. So why is Cody Hollister getting balls thrown to him on crucial downs, much less seeing the field?"

It was the same as far as lost opportunities by the offense. We blew a few chances that would have opened the game up for us and led us to an easier win.
