It is like people talking about how good Thomas Alexander is playing this year, then following it up with "I hope Mike keeps an eye on him while he's in JUCO".

Its like WTF? ACT/SAT score is one thing, but grades/classes is another, not matter how good they are they shouldn't be playing HS ball if they are failing there...

Yeah it definitely doesn't sound like SEC qualifying is the issue if Mizzou/Ark/Tenn are all in the picture, Tenn being late and coming after him strong.

My guess is priming up a run at the Senate, there's some pesky laws that need a changing that impact Tyson's biz.

Evans committed to Wisconsin last year but reopened his recruitment when Bret Bielema's staff headed for Arkansas. The head coach and defensive line coach Charlie Partridge have stayed in close contact with Evans since their departure and now they're hoping he'll follow them to Fayetteville.

"Coach Partridge was actually flying up to see his family a couple of weeks ago and he stopped by my school to check on me," Evans said. "We've stayed in touch a lot and it's always nice talking to him.

"He's telling me that he wants me down there with him and I'm definitely taking that into consideration. I'll most definitely take a visit down there and see them sometime, I just don't know when, yet."

Evans, 6-3, 325, has offers from Arkansas, Michigan State, Nebraska, Pittsburgh and the Badgers' new staff in Madison. He said the Razorbacks have a legit shot at landing his services due to the relationship he's built with Bielema and Partridge over the last year or so.

"They're obviously in the SEC and things like that, but really I just like Coach Partridge and Coach Bielema, obviously," Evans said. "They're really the biggest things I like about Arkansas at this moment."

Evans, who recorded 67 solo stops and 44 assisted tackles as a junior, said Wisconsin is still high on his list, as well.

"Wisconsin is still one of my favorites, most definitely," he said.

2015 QB Ty Storey of Charleston is hoping to be medically cleared next Tuesday when he goes back to the doctor. He's still rehabbing a torn ACL and a torn meniscus from this past year but is ahead of schedule with it right now. He's throwing and the knee seems to be holding up well right now so that's very good news. As for recruiting, Ty said he and his dad came up and met with Bret Bielema's staff a couple of weekends ago and ended up visiting with them for over an hour. He said Chaney told him he wants to get to know him a little more before pulling the trigger on an offer, but just my opinion, I'm in the camp that believes Ty will get one from Arkansas sooner rather than later. He's up to 6-3, 220 right now and the knee injury has allowed him to focus more on his upper body in the weight room. Storey is being chased by Auburn's Gus Malzahn and Tim Horton and he'll take a trip down there this weekend for a junior day event. Missouri just requested his film and Florida State along with many others have started sending more mail, as well. Probably one of the most laid-back and humble kids I've covered. Big-time talent and just a great young man.
