and other issues giving us another 5th year guy leading the offense? I hope he irons out the kinks but with everyone that we will have here in the spring I feel good about QB for the next few years.

I'm really hoping one of the young guns rises up and takes this job. Coker got beat out twice..once by a guy who was almost converted to RB and another who was fresh out of high school.

That's not a good batting average.

I think by now, Coker is what he is.

You can't completely fix it, but I will say it looked faster at FSU.

I think it'll be fine. Jameis has a slow release and he won the Heisman. Once Coker is comfortable with the offense, it'll be a little bit quicker.

I love Cornwell's release though.

Kiffin has 8 months to work with kiffin before Wisconsin. Look at what he did with Sims. Imagine what he can do with a QB like Coker who has a rocket of an arm

This.

We can hope so. I'm sure Tebow hoped he could change his up as well.

I don't care about the release at this point. Just let him fix the accuracy.

Not gonna lie, I'm kind of hoping Barnett beats him out

I'm torn.

Part of me wants Coker to have his chance. He was good when he played, and he grew up a Bama fan. He transferred here to get his chance. Now of course if he can't earn it, I'm not saying he should have it.

But another part of me wants to go in a younger direction, this would give us the same QB for 2-4 more years, which is ideal.

I'm not counting out Cooper Bateman, I'm a big fan of his, and I think he's talented.

But the two most talented QBs on the roster next season may very well be Cornwell and Barnett.

Now, between them, I'm torn again. Cornwell has that fast release with a cannon, and he CAN move.

Barnett's release needs work (so much so that even if he is an EE, I don't know if it'll be fixed by September), but he is accurate and is a true dual threat.

I'm fine with Coker/Bateman/Cornwell/Barnett. Any of them will work, they're all good imo.

Unless Barnett catches onto the PB extremely fast and dominates practices, he'll probably RS like all other QBs under Saban.

Coker rarely seemed confident... and in mop-up duty, at that. He seemed to play like a starter who was afraid of getting the hook if he made a mistake.

I think the battle will come down to Coker and Corn. May the best man win.

There was that one drive he had I think against Florida when Blake went out with injury and Coker came in to lead a TD drive.

Yeah I get a different read from Coker than some people. He smiles when something good happens, but he looks like he's focused the rest of the time. Just kind of stoic. I like it, personally.

I honestly think the QB Battle is between Bateman and Coker. I'm intrigued by Bateman due to his mobility, but Coker seems to have the inside track.

Some of the throws Coker made this year were beautiful. I have no doubt that he will be the starter this upcoming year tbh.

Wouldn't this likely happen even if Coker gets the start and Cornwell/Barnett win the job the following year (unless one of them explodes into NFL type prospect right off the bat)?

Yeah, it'd still happen after Coker.

I think Coker will be the guy too. I think he'll have a better passing season than Sims, honestly, if we throw the ball ad the young WRs emerge.

We might see less of the bubble screen with Coker, but with the likely loss of Coop I don't think that is a bad thing. I wouldn't mind seeing more screens to the RB's. Henry has proven to be very dangerous in the screen game and I assume Drake will be as well.

Yeah, for what Henry lacks in power (gotta improve that lower body and drive those legs) he makes up for with ability in space.

I think we'll go vertical a bit more too.

I think the light comes on for Howard.

I think Ridley/Stewart step up and shine.

IF Robert Foster comes back, I think he shines too.

I don't know if we have a 1000 yard WR, but I think we could have a bunch of 500 yard guys.

With Cokers arm, I feel like we could easily have two 1000 yard recievers. Maybe Howard and one of Foster/Stewart/Ridley.

Drake could very well have a huge multipurpose season as well. I can see 1000+ combined yardage.
