This is no longer a question, and it's unbelievable saying that considering how quickly it happened.

I'm just happy Bama has the top two.

Everyone gets the warm and fuzzies when thinking about the Bear because he was that legendary.

However...upvote.

Both adapted to changing styles of play. Both were dominant. Bryant dominated the SEC...but that wasn't so difficult in the seventies. Few of Bryant's NCs were undisputed. Honestly, I've never counted 1973. Everyone at the time regarded the ND game as the game for the national championship. All of Saban's, whether BCS or CFP, were undisputed through the system endorsed by all members of the FBS of the NCAA. There is much more parity today than in the seventies.

It's not an argument anymore. The game and rules are so stacked against what Saban has done. It's mind blowing to have watched this.

No wonder the corndogs are still arse chapped after all these years.
