Alabama has reportedly added the New Mexico State Aggies to its 2019 football schedule, per FBSchedules.com.

The Crimson Tide will host the Aggies in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 7, 2019. According to FBSchedules. com, Alabama will pay its non-conference foe a $1.7 million guarantee for the game. The 2019 meeting will be the first-ever between Alabama and New Mexico State.

Alabama now has three non-conference games scheduled for its 2019 season. The Crimson Tide opens the season against the Duke Blue Devils in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta on Aug. 31. It also will later host Southern Miss in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 21.

Based on the SEC's scheduling rotation and FBSchedules.com, Alabama's 2019 conference opponents will include Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, and Tennessee at home at Bryant-Denny Stadium and Auburn, Mississippi State, Texas A&M and South Carolina on the road.

So Duke, New Mexico State and Southern Mississippi.

Ugh.

At least the Duke game is a $175 ticket in Atlanta and not a regular home game!

Joy!

That's really pathetic. Talk about no room for error. If Bama loses one conference game with that schedule it would be hard to make an argument that they deserve a spot in the playoffs unless We have several top 10 teams in conference play.

There is still time to add a decent team, but with the opening game off the table who would play us?

Maybe they won't play a FCS team that year since the rest of the non conference schedule sucks.

Maybe add a AAC team for the final game.

I might be the only one, but I always like playing Southern Miss.

I did too, but who knows what kind of team they will be by then.

They've alternated between being absolutely horrendous to contending for a conference title for the last 5 years.

Are you not excited about a neutral site square-off with Duke?

Don't worry guys, I'm sure 2020 will bring an exciting game against UCLA in Dallas and home games against MTSU, Western Carolina and ULM.

I know I'm repeating all of our thoughts here, but could we just get a nice home-and-home with someone? These neutral site games lack gameday energy and excitement, and we are forced to interact with other fans in restaurants and bars in Dallas or Atlanta instead of experiencing their campus vibe. I want to make friends in Eugene, Seattle, Austin, Columbus, etc.,

frick doing these chick fil a and Jerry world games. We play there in the post season and I'm sick of this shite. Give me home games with good teams in cool places like any big 10 or pac 12 school. Hell, I'd rather do a home and home with uab than spend another labor day in Jerry world or Atlanta.

I know next year is in Orlando, but it's the same shite. A mediocre atmosphere at a city where we've all been before. Early September in 100 degrees and 100% humidity? frick that.

Oh wonderful. Next year we get to play the citadel, Arkansas state, and ul Lafayette at home. What a joke.

Honestly I'd rather do some home & home with regional schools...Give our fans a good road trips to see some decent college towns at affordable prices... VT, UVA, UNC, Illinois, Nebraska, Pitt, WVU

While I agree that I'd rather see home-and-home games, nobody is forcing you to go to any of these games or locations.

I don't understand why this can't happen? Didn't LSU schedule Texas, Auburn scheduled Cal and Penn State, Georgia scheduled Notre Dame?

I am excited about the FSU game. Louisville is not a bad match-up but it feels just meh. I just don't understand why we can't a nice Big10 or Pac12 game going with a traditional power.
