Doubt he will get invited to the combine and probably will not get drafted. His dad make plenty of money. Vinnie is coming off a injury. He was a good, but not great player at Bama. Something is just not adding up here.

I think the idea for Vinnie is "Hey, I can make a roster, I'm not going to get much better athletically by being here another season, let me go get on a roster and learn some more NFL schemes and what not for a year or two, and if it doesn't pan out, go be a coach."

He is already learning NFL schemes at Bama.

I hope we don't have to rely on a freshman. J. Williams will move there, right?

If Vinnie's gone, my guess would be Nick Perry at FS and LC at SS...if I recall, I think Saban said a couple of years ago that Perry might be the best "true" safety on the team...

Jai Miller might be an option at safety. I saw both he and Perry play in HS (although several years apart) and i think Miller is more athletic. Perry is going to have to have a great offseason to earn the starting role. But he does have a good understanding of the defense.

Scout is reporting that Vinnie may transfer to FSU instead of the NFL draft. LINK

Would not have to sit out because he has graduated.

WTF is this kid doing? It has to be linked to some kind of falling out with Saban and his dad, right?

Not even transferring, Bama and FSU have come to terms on a trade. Bama will send Vinnie Sunseri and two future in state 4 star players to FSU in exchange for Jacob Coker and a future 4* FSU lean. Both teams trying to rework cap space.

The Scout article..... LINK

Ifn these days of rumors, we are hearing that Vinnie Sunseri wants to leave Alabama. He may want to go to Florida State, where his father, Sal Sunseri, is an assistant coach and his former Bama position coach, Jeremy Pruitt, is defensive coordinator. FSU is no doubt feeling its oats with its recent national championship.

Or he may want to enter the NFL draft. Players have until Wednesday to declare for the draft.

He helped us win two titles, and if he hadn't got hurt maybe a third, we don't know what he would have done in the later games. Just because he leaves you suddenly turn on him?

I can't fault a kid for leaving because he's buried on the depth chart...but i'd have a tough time rooting for him if he transferred.

if he goes to another school when he was a starter at Alabama surely. This has to be related to the rumors about Saban promising Sal/Pruitt that Kirby would have been gone by X date and they would be DC only for Kirby to still be around.

You don't have to root for him, but he'll still be a Bama man in our hearts. "fuuuuuuck him" is uncalled for considering he was a great representative for the team for three years and gave us a ton of great moments.

If he went to Free Shoes then it would be betrayal. Makes you wonder. I don't fault him for going to the NFL draft. While I don't think it's the best decision for him, he can make money while he's still healthy.

So he shouldn't try to spend time with his dad?

Dad shouldn't have left for a lateral move? After all his dad picked a job that wasn't a promotion over his kid already. And that was when he was getting no pass rush from his Jack/Sam and he was getting his clock cleaned on the recruiting trail.
