Everyone saying Georgia is the real deal need to take a look at Fromm's passing numbers for today.

A lot of you seem to have an issue with Jalen putting up BETTER numbers , yet you're in this thread giving Georgia a lot of props.

Unbelievable.

ETA: Georgia does look really good though.

I'll be more convinced when they win a couple grind it out affairs that they impose their will. Not games like these last two that the other team imploded.

Haha my exact thoughts. Not to mention Sam Darnold's garbage game last night, another player that people on this board likely slobber over because "muh drop back pocket passer."

It's too funny.

Last I looked Fromm had 84 yards passing. "Hez uh Stuhr!"

They have a good defense and I am not as high on their running game as they are. Their passing game is worse than ours. They just look elite because they play in the east. They are not elite.

Using that standard, we wouldn't be considered elite either. The west sucks as bad as the east.

They are a well coached team. Kirby has already turned the corner in Athens.

UGA is really reminding me of Bama circa 2008. I think they can only get better from this point.

If we are talking about his year? They don't have the play makers on the outside on offense to compete with Alabama. Almost a cliche how perfect Bama matches up with them. Can't crown Kirby just yet either. He has a veteran defense and an NFL veteran calling plays for him on that side of the ball. Jim Chaney will be his down fall. God awful hire

Anyone else buying into the Georgia program now? First Zamir White now Justin Feilds. They are killing it. I believe this will be our future SECG rival for years to come.

I haven't watched a minute of UGA this year, but, knowing what I know about football and football fans, I'm betting Georgia is good, but not great.

I think that's accurate. Winning on the road at Notre Dame with a true freshman QB was impressive but I think folks are over valuing the Mississippi State and Tennessee wins.

I remember that UGA team in 08 as well that had Stafford, AJ Green, and No Show Moreno while playing under a very successful coach. I am not sure that this UGA team has anywhere near that talent.

They just seem to be the flavor of the month as everyone is hoping that someone can challenge UA in the SEC.

For the record I hope UGA is a top 5 team in ability if we get to see them because I am tired of the no competition currently in our league.

Good thing Bama is looking like 2008 Florida.

Agree, let's hope the trend doesn't continue past that though

Georgia is playing with talented enough players, an influx of talented young kids and with a hunger to be great. Then, it seems like their Notre Dame win kind of gave them that "maybe we can be really good" jumpstart.

We'll see, but the makeup of the teams, the strengths/weaknesses, etc just really seem to remind me of eachother.

Just a few things I see.

Their QB throws the dangerous throws, that will catch up to him.

Their OL is struggling.

UGA is a good football team, and will only get better with the recruiting Kirby is doing. That said, we're still the better, more talented, deeper team and if we play up to our standard, we will win. Looking at the SEC stats, our offense is significantly better than theirs...and our defenses are very similar. Basically a wash. Same with special teams. I could easily see a 27-17 type game in the SEC Championship. But first we need to handle the Aggies...and honestly AU on the Plains gives me slight concern.
