Alabama’s Lallier, Paul Earn SEC Weekly Honors

Gianna Paul was named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week while Coralie Lallier was tabbed as the Freshman Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama's Gianna Paul and Coralie Lallier earned Southeastern Conference weekly honors, the league office announced Monday. Paul was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week for netting goals against Southern Miss (W, 2-0) and No. 3 North Carolina (T, 1-1), while Lallier's performance in net against the Tar Heels earned her Freshman of the Week honors.

With the help of Paul and Lallier, UA remains undefeated with a 5-0-3 record. Additionally, the team extended its unbeaten home record to 24 games with its tie against the Tar Heels.

Routliffe earns her first Grand Slam title and first major title with partner Gaby Dabrowski

FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. – Former Alabama tennis standout Erin Routliffe and teammate Gaby Dabrowski defeated Vera Zvonareva and Laura Siegemund 7-6(9) 6-3 to win their first Grand Slam title at the 2023 US Open on Sunday.

The Crimson Tide’s schedule features two home races on the Black Warrior River before making a pair of trips to the renowned Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla.

The Alabama men's and women's cross country squads return to action Friday for the Southern Showcase, a short two-hour drive up I-65, in Huntsville, Ala., at the John Hunt Cross Country Park. The men's 8k race will start at 7:30 a.m. CT, while the women's 5k race gets underway at 8:30 a.m. to close out the action.

The meet marks the shortest trip of the entire 2023 season for the Tide, joining the Crimson Classic home meet in October as the only two meets in the state of Alabama.

Doris Lemngole Claims Individual Title, Alabama Earns Two Top-Five Team Finishes

Lemngole clocked 16:12.10 to win the women’s 5k individual title, while the Crimson Tide men (third) and women (fourth) each claimed a top-five team finish

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Alabama cross country's Doris Lemngole opened her crimson and white career with a first-place, individual title in the women's 5k race after recording a blistering time of 16:12.10 at the Southern Showcase.

The No. 23 UA men's cross country team opened the morning with a third-place overall finish, while the No. 13 women's squad ended the day with a fourth-place team finish.

The Crimson Tide men tallied 110 points to claim the top-three spot, led by Jacob Harris who posted an 11th-place finish over the 8,000-meter course. Lemngole would lead the women to a fourth-place, 108-point finish to close the morning of racing.

Freshman Andrii Zimnokh opened his collegiate career with a singles and doubles victory. Filip Planinsek and Matias Ponce De Leon also concluded the day undefeated as the doubles duo found wins in both events.

The Southeastern Conference won a combined 12 of the day's 18 matches.

Alabama (10-1) earned its seventh sweep of the season, hitting .318 as a team while holding Grambling State (2-11) to a .138 clip. Kendyl Reaugh paced the offense yet again, leading the team with 13 kills along with 12 digs for her sixth double-double of the season, four of which have come in the last six matches. Micah Gryniewicz was close behind with 11 kills while Chaise Campbell held the team lead in blocks (4), Sydney Gholson in digs (16) and Callie Kieffer in assists (39).
