Mississippi State is also unpredictable, as we saw them go on a 3-game winning streak against LSU, A&M, and Arkansas, only to get crushed by Tennessee recently. Almost beat UK too.
Will be interesting to see which team we see next Saturday. I really hope UGA has given up on Fox and they come out flat against us. We usually struggle @UGA though, so I doubt we win. Statistically, we're pretty even, but Maten and JJ Frazier are averaging double figures and will probably light it up. All meanwhile, we'll stay competitive until there's 5 minutes left in the game, and our offense will go stagnant from the field.

A lot of teams play bad the game after they play UK. Luckily we get Mizzou after UK.
Do we have more talent than a single team in that stretch I mentioned?

We need a smaller arena (10-13k)and stop giving Tide Pride points for buying basketball season tickets. Maybe allow people to get more points for just donating money.
What do yall think of this, give double points for buying someone else season tickets?
Make all tickets electronic? If you can't attend a game, donate the ticket back to the university (extra points?) and let them distribute them via a lottery similar to how students can get tickets for football games?

Let's be honest, how many true ball handlers do we even have on this team?
It is painful watching Riley with the ball at the top of the key.

Also since we have no one who can spread the floor the paint is really clogged
ETA: The best thing going for most our players is size

Auburn has the same problem with this as us. Right now we have some donation system, but a lot of people just don't take the time to do it. I don't think we'll ever stop giving points for buying season tickets because that's guaranteed money.
A point deduction for an unused ticket might help, but I doubt we'll ever punish our top boosters.

The ball was effectively stripped, then triggering a foul from Norris. Resulting in a mojo boost for AU the next 3-4 times down the court.
I like Dazon. But he needs to tighten up on those lazy passes that trigger breaks for the opponent as well. Absolute momentum killers.

Has to be lack of chemistry. This team will go a short period of just wasting possessions with careless turnovers. And why do we never set any screens or anything to get someone open when we're inbounding passes? I swear, we are almost always throwing the ball 3/4ths down the court when we're trying to in bound a pass. Watched Michigan State the other day, they set a screen with their guard and he hits an open shot immediately every single time.

What about SMU's arena? They just renovated (it was a total redo) it several years ago, and now their students are right on top of the action. We'd obviously want a bigger arena than theirs, but they have a great atmosphere. They've been an American powerhouse since they upgraded.

Kinda like that idea

I don't think it sits enough to accommodate our fans, certainly not our gymnastics fans , so it'd have to be bigger. Damn in their student seats though you can practically touch the players. In some of our student seats you strain to see the players

The size of the arena plays a part in the great atmosphere. I've been saying for years that we need to downsize from Coleman. Even at full capacity, Coleman is just too large to have a loud atmosphere.

Moody at SMU only sits like 8k I think though

By the way who is the selfish AF a-hole on your team who forced up the last shite shot instead of dishing to the wide open white walkon?
That walkon was straight money during warmips and had a legit opportunity. The other guy tried to force up a very contested garbage midrange type shot

Ar'Mond Davis. Guy throws it up whenever he feels like it. Was benched a few games ago.

I'm not certain that Dazon hasn't just said frick it! and that's why he makes so many bad passes/TOs. He doesn't have anyone to dish to that will create, so he's just frustrated and is lackadaisical.

It isn't as much size as acoustics. The key is low flat ceilings and to reduce the ceiling surface area as much as possible (along with walled off terraces)

That SMU arena probably is loud AF. The one mistake is that they need the luxury boxes to be seating with a glass wall behind where the social area is
Auburn arena isn't perfect but it is still solid. It is incredibly loud even when we have only~6000fans for a garbage game.
Finally the last key ingredient is having more than just students yelling. Have to get the alumni to be loud consistently.
