Avery Johnson has gotten far more out of Jimmy these last 3 games than any of us could have imagined. The way he has developed him and has gotten him to play at such a high level when its is needed most is phenomenal

I've been a huge Jimmy Taylor fan from the get go. Don't know why. I always hated the criticism he has received (although often valid). So obviously, this was my favorite game of the season. He looked like a first team All-Conference center tonight. And his dunks in #15's faces were GLORIOUS. Way to go, JIMMY!

Jimmie Taylor is turning into a beast. Hall is getting better every game too.

Norris and Coleman have stepped up in big spots and improved as well.

I saw this on Twitter. What happened to make him cuss at them? And how was he received by the fans?

I was wondering what happened myself. Seems risky to send him over to the student section if he just cussed em out

Can't believe if Alabama avoids the bad losses, they're safely in the tournament. What a fricking awesome year.

If we lose to Auburn this time, we don't deserve the tourney lol they're TERRIBLE. We should beat them by 20+. We won at Miss State already but it was in OT, this time it's at home. Arkansas is ok but we should beat them too. That's 18 wins. Win one in the road and I think we're in.

The way they finished with Retin and Edwards out is something I honestly don't think I've seen since Wimp. Certainly not during Grant or Gottfried.

The road to the dance isn't obscure at all now. Win the home games and either another road or tourney game gets to 19 wins. With the SOS and RPI they will have, they should be in.

Won't happen, but can you imagine the Gumping that would occur if we made it into the Tournament and then went on a run like "Survive and Advance"?

This site would have to shut down. Hell, the state of Alabama would be overrun with Gumps.

This team is starting to remind me of that 03'-04' bunch. The wins are uglier, but the surge is there. If they can just clean a few things up, look out.

Got out rebounded terribly, and still came away with the W.

Bama is 3-5 vs the top 25 RPI, 1-0 vs 26-50 RPI, and 2-3 vs 51-100 RPI.

if we dont fall flat we should be in the discussion. I am thinking finish 1 game over 500 in the league and then win 1 maybe 2 in the SEC tourny.

Hopefully we can win @UGA. That's still a tricky game on the road to end the season. If we win, that likely puts Alabama at 19-9 and a good seeding in the SEC tournament.

Now, if we beat LSU, Ohhhh man

We CAN beat LSU. We lost by 2 last time and were playing better now. I think we have a real good shot at pulling this off

That's the path I see.

19-11 regular season plus a great SOS and good RPI probably gets Bama in unless they make an early and ugly tourney exit.

Also worth mentioning is something they pointed out in the game yesterday - SMU and Louisville would be locks but aren't eligible which opens up two spots that would otherwise be taken.

Imagine the meltdown that would happen if we get in and UAB gets left out.

My hope is that the kind of Taylor we saw against Florida is just a small glimpse of things to come. We get a guy in the post like that and combine it with Obasahan, and then put Bama in the tournament..hollyyy shite
