It is mainly terrible Alabama fans who have given up and abandoned supporting their own team who have pushed this narrative.

It is embarrassing how spineless our fans can be. How quick they will turn against their own team. Every intelligent poster on this forum knew it would be nearly impossible to go undefeated. So why is the fallout like we just lost to Auburn last year?

It's disgraceful.

I am far from a terrible alabama fan and I am telling you right now, we are not one of the best teams in the country this year. It has nothing to do with being a terrible fan. Its being a realistic fan. And I normally never say shite like this unless its about the basketball team (which will continue to suck donkey dick as long as Grant is the coach).

We just arent as good this year as we have been being. Its a bit of a rebuilding year, which is ok. We are young and inexperienced in the secondary, which is tough to succeed with in a conference like the SEC. We just lost our best double threat player in Drake. We also just lost a big part of our fantastic front 4 on D.

We will lose another game this year, possibly (probably) 2. We should have won it all last year and that would have made rebuilding this year a little less painful, but sloppy play and some bad luck lost the iron bowl for us and then the bowl game was just a fricking "I dont give a frick" fest of epic proportions. Not to mention a clusterfrick of a offensively called game.

This year should have been the rebuilding year after title number 4, but instead its just another rebuilding year with nothing in the trophy case to hold us over and make us feel better about it. Sorry if some of you think that mindset makes me a terrible fan but I can tell you right now if you said it to my face I'd more than likely force feed you your teeth. Screaming Roll Tide the whole time. Just sayin

Honestly, I've read your posts, and you aren't exactly helping the situation with your attacks on people who have a different opinion than you. Sometimes people need to be able to vent without you seeming to take it personally, attacking and questioning their fanhood (at best) and accusing them of having sinister or even racist motives (at worst).

Oh so it's okay for them to attack the team, say the season is over and laugh at posters who say we are still one of the best, however it is wrong for me to respond to them.

The same way you say they have a right to vent, I have my right to respond. It has become quite silly how poorly this loss has been taken.

Every single team in the nation seems worse than years past except those in Mississippi.

You don't know this. You're making an overreaction to one loss.

This is what I'm talking about. One dude mocked me for saying we will win out asking if I have a crystal ball.... yet he can say we suck and we're going to the capital one bowl.

For what it's worth I don't think you're terrible. I don't like how you laugh at the idea we're one of the best, but I don't think you're terrible.

Agreed. optimism is a horrible criteria for measuring good/bad fanhood. We could lose every game until November and my arse would still be in BDS for the whole WCU game cheering for my university.

And my arse will be in Coleman watching another round of Grant's farewell tour.

Back to the OP, I hope it becomes a team effort this year. didnt Vinnie, CJ, and AJ do that around this time last year? Might be mixing up the players.

5 of the top 8 just went down in one weekend.

Who are all of these teams that are so much better than Bama?

Ole Miss won a pretty evenly matched game at their place and while Ole Miss certainly played well, Alabama was in a position to win that game. Ole Miss is a good team. Bama is a good team.

I haven't seen anything out of the other top teams in the country (FSU, Auburn, MSU, ND, Baylor) that tells me Alabama couldn't compete with and beat them.

You just seem to get personal with it. Maybe I'm wrong but you seem to be insinuating one poster might not want Sims to play because he is black. That shite isn't necessary. Maybe that was someone else. If so, my apologies.

Really? Because I have been saying the same thing since week 1. I am actually the only one on this board that has kept a consistent opinion through all of this. I said we were a 2-3 loss team after the West Virginia game and I have maintained it the entire time. The only thing I have changed my opinion on really is that instead of aTm being one of those losses it will be Miss St.

Now I could be wrong, and we could learn from this loss and get fired up and go all 2008 Florida/Tim Tebow on their arse and win a championship, but looking at this team and the problem areas, I just dont see it happening. I hope I am wrong and I will take another plate full of deep fried crow to go along with the 2 plates I already had this year about Sims and Kiffin but I think the black feathered fowl are probably unfortunately safe for now.

I can see 3 in our division alone that are better for sure and possibly 1 more.

Ole Miss (they beat us, they are better)
Miss St (holy shite)
Auburn (that fricking stings)

and the possible 4th is
aTm (but I think we are better them until they prove it on the field)

That's the saddest part. The rest of the country doesn't even think we're done.

We're not done! As I posted Saturday night or Sunday, we're in much better shape than we were in either '11 or '12 when our loss came in November. We had to almost have a miraculous sequence of events take place to get us into the NC game. We don't need that this year, other than Ole Miss dropping a couple of games... which they will do.

This team can still do this!

Atm's win against USC was not nearly as impressive as we initially thought.

It is down to the Alabama and Mississippi schools. I am glad we got our loss out of they way first. Just win out.

Ole Miss probably loses this weekend. CS at night is tough and ole miss just got a big win(see Bama ATM 2012)

. MSU or Auburn also goes down. Auburn then goes to Ole Miss. We get ATM/auburn/MSU at home.

It sets up well for us.

Another dumb question on my part, if we win the NC this year will it feel as good as the last 3?

I mean will it feel the same?

Which MSU and which AU are you talking about as unbeatable? MSU had to hold on to beat an anemic LSU...and AU looked very beatable at KSU.

I don't understand.

Eh Auburn did not look too impressive against K-State.

They are beatable.

So this is the one that's gonna stick? I could go the rest of my life without hearing about another slogan or team meeting. Every team does that shite, and we used to beat the hell out of all of them.

Because Miss St went prevent and conservative and let LSU come back in what should have been garbage time.

Andn from watching games, I feel like the K State game was the exception, not the rule. AU is good and they proved this weekend they can go down the field with the ball and that does nothing but spell doom for alabama with out secondary

Then it's a really good thing that we don't play them right now.

I disagree completely. I don't believe either of those teams can cover Coop or a motivated Howard. The Grinder's front 7 worries me against our OL, but their OL and receivers aren't as good as Ole Miss', imo. Plus we should have Eddie Jackson back by then.

Right now I think we lose to Mississippi State, but I don't think we lose to Auburn. The guys have been waiting to avenge that bs loss last year, and so has Saban.

If Yeldon inspired the guys and all the other guys stepped up, then we'll see the swagger we've missed since 2011. We'll be relentless. This Ole Miss loss was probably a big reality check for Saban.

Let Kiffin do his thing? Offense is dominate.

Try to do your conservative bullshite? ONE offensive TD.

Let Kiffin control the offense in EVERY game, even the big ones. Try to score at the end of the half, try to convert 3rd and 20, go for it on 4th down more, etc. We have the talent to do all of those things.

I'd rather Landon Collins lead with his play and not with his mouth. He was very poor.

This. He was exposed.

I feel like the defense is way too complicated at times for our players. They seem to be thinking instead of reacting. This wasn't the first game it's happened. I'm just sick of seeing it.
