So, everyone is ok with his slow it down offense? I like Howland, he wins. Just hope people know what they're getting IF we did choose him. It would be rough to watch at times when he is trying to build and fans would need to stay patient.

Also, please stop with the Bucky McMillan bs. That's embarrassing.

I want someone with a strong, A-type personality that can at least attempt to match Saban. A young, energetic guy that can lay down the law and take charge.

As for playing style, basketball is continuing to move towards an above-the-rim game. Get some long, athletic guys that can score from anywhere on the court, and defend with the best of them.

I might not have a popular view, but I want a guy that likes to have 5 players on the floor that can all shoot from anywhere. I want a team that is full of shooters where you can't help off of any players. Play a 4 out 1 in offense, or 5 out with cutters. Make the D respect every player on the floor.

If efficient, a slow offense is fun to watch. We just haven't been able to experience that. I think people would realize that the guy has been to 3 final fours so he can play whatever brand of basketball he wants...just win.

ETA: But for a guy with any other pedigree, he'll need to play fast to win over most of the fanbase after what we've watched these past few years.

We should hire Bucky McMillan. Has taken a team full of white boys and won the state back to back and in it again this year. Mtn brook hs

Just to be fair: A team full of "white boys" AND the few high profile black players that were recruited cherry picked from Bham.

Bucky also took his AAU team to Vegas national finals. But the style of play isn't really conducive to the college game. They platoon and face guard the entire game, at least I can't think of another big time college program that does that. (Kentucky Platoons)

AND Mainly, I'm hoping that the former BSC point guard gets tapped to be the next coach at our Alma Mater. Go Panthers.

Personally I don't think we would be able to get Archie Miller. Feel he's going to get some big time offers after this season. Howland is the more realistic situation that could fall into place.

Find the best fit at UA young smart up and comer. The best coach who wants to move up. Offer Roy Williams money.Bring him in and meet with CBB and tell him that if he comes on board that ground will be broken for a new BB palace. Then let him have lunch with CNS and let him know that he is needed and that he will do what he can to help bring a championship to Bama. And that UA is big enough for multiple champions.
The money is there, we just need the vision .

Has nothing to do with wanting to keep Grant. Has everything to do with someone thinking we can just go steal a coach from a top 5 job.

I didn't say top 5 coach. I said the best up and coming young coach. Big difference . And you must put the money out there.
We could be a top 20 team with the right leadership . That starts with the right coach.
