A guy that would take this roster at the end of the season for his first day on the job to Indianapolis to watch the Final Four and National Championship and tell them that one day they will be in this position. Then go around the campus, city, and state and sell the program out. Get fans to buy in and recruits. Then one who has a creative, fun, and fundamentally sound offense and can FINISH. To compliment this, a man who can coach defense to rebound, press, physical, and can teach zone defense.
The chances of this all happening, slim-to-none.

The meltdown on this board if we hired a high school coach.....

He could get us to the tourney on the regular 100%

How about Danny Young. He seems like a pretty good coach. I know it's just Montevallo, but they have been solid.

Or make him our assistant, recruit those white boys, and hire a real HC

This. Would be an outside the box choice, but would certainly be a radical shake up for a program that needs one.
He runs a style that no one else (outside Reno in the NBA D-League) is playing right now. Full court man to man press all game, push the pace, and all layups and 3 pointers on the offense for the most part. It's different then the old Loyola-Mary Mount scheme in that the defensive pressure is much higher.
They have been wearing more talented teams out for the last 5 years at the HS level with this style, and there's no reason to think it won't work in D-1. It's kind of akin to HUNH in football in the way it just disrupts everything about the flow of a traditional game.

100% my favorite for the job. He is amazing. Elite eight last year.
16-4 this year without a single player over 6'6"

Ben Howland
I've gotten over my gripes about his boring arse basketball if it produces. He has produced a TON of pro's.

This off season would be the time to make a push with his best players graduating.

This would be the only hesitation I have with him given Grant's inability to recruit big men.
I like Miller, Howland, Chris Mack (not making much at XU), Bob McKillop (Davidson), and Larry Krystkowiak (Utah).
I will piss on something of Battle's if he hires Prohm, which I would label as the favorite to win the job. I would rather have one more year of Grant than taking a complete stab in the dark this year, which is exactly what that hire would be.

This is actually at the bottom of my list. As long as they're willing to do some sort of midnight madness event (and that's mainly for recruiting purposes), I don't give two shits about program promotion. Outside of the extremely high level of promotion skill that only a few people like Pearl possess, I don't think it matters that much. WINNING solves everything. Gregg Marshall looks like a completely unlikeable guy, yet his home court overflows with avid fans going nuts every minute of every game.
I want a coach that recruits better big men, fills up (or close to it) the scholarship allotment, and runs an actual offense.

Oh he recruited big men, the issue is he had to kick them off the team. I think they robbed some people or something.

Refs are pu##ies now, if you don't crawl them the whole game, the refs going to run over your team because it his path of least resistance.
CBB has been a joke for 15 years now anyway.
We all know how the AAU gig works, pass money to AAU, they direct players to the payer of money.
Wooden was the biggest cheater ever.

I'm not sure what the answer is, but there is no reason that we shouldn't be a tournament team every year.

I was mostly kidding, but Scott was the only one of those 2 to play significant minutes.
