You guys need to realize Saban going anywhere has helped tigerdroppings grow more than anything, this goes back to Saban leaving LSU in 2005. In some ways, Saban's employment decisions have built tigerdroppings into what it is today. IIRC Chicken has explained this in one of his New York Times articles. Don't take the Saban talk too seriously and accept it for what it is, something everyone WANTS to talk about.

Peace out.

ETA: from the NYT article

quote:

F***** — a Houston resident who grew up in New Orleans and is known as Chicken to the regulars on his board — said that his site registered 12 visitors in its first month. Word soon spread, and other L.S.U. fans started visiting the site regularly. But it was not until early 2007 that Tiger Droppings really began to get popular. “What really drove a lot of traffic to the site was Saban being hired by Alabama,” Fiegel said about the Crimson Tide hiring Nick Saban, the former L.S.U. coach. “That led to a lot of their fans coming over to Tiger Droppings to gloat and rub it in that they’d stolen our old coach.” The infusion of trash-talking Alabama fans led Fiegel and his brother, Brad, his partner in running the site, to create a special forum where Alabama fans, along with fans of other teams, could congregate. It became so popular that the brothers eventually made it its own site, SECrant.com. According to Google Analytics, Tiger Droppings and SEC Rant combined to garner over 55 million page views in the past month, and a number of volunteer moderators have been enlisted to help police the various forums.

Or just avoid the CC board.

Seriously, there is absolutely no indication he's leaving, so why entertain the idea at all?

I have to admit I was a little that my thread only made it to four pages. Oh well.

Hi, LSU fans. Which one hurts more?

A. 21-0
B. 21-17
C. 38-17
D. All of the recruits we have stolen from you.

I only wish that you all could respond to this question. Maybe you can quote it and discuss it on your board.

Thanks and have a great day!

He also posted a warning about starting rumor threads not substantiated by reliable news source(s). Guess he forgot.

But, but, but, but, but they didn't want them!

And, and, and, and, those recruits are LIARS and TRAITORS!

Seems like unsubstantiated rumors about Miles would do the same. But he is adamant about not allowing those. The double standard is obvious. But it's ok.

Whoops, I mean I'm butthurt about it, I'm mad, blah blah

It's his website, he do as he pleases. And bama fans have a significant portion of the post in those threads as well. If y'all didn't post over there, the threads would probably be a tenth of what they are. Because of y'all's post and the rebuttals towards y'all.

I agree with most of what you said. The threads would still be very long even without Bama fans, we've seen it happen already. A few days ago, before we were over there they were all just sitting around fantasizing to each other. There were no Bama fans to be found at first.

He is and if you go over there and argue any point he'll just tell you to leave. Such a whiny bitchy fan base. Every time Chicken post anything all the LSU posters immediately suck his dick and bow down to the great one....it's pretty sad.

I enjoy the entertainment. The unfounded rumors and desperation of their fans grasping for hope. I just wish they would combine some of the threads. Get tired of having to click on so many for the same rumor. Far more enjoyable if I can just refresh.

People need to understand it is a kitty board. With their season they need some motivation and something to lift their spirits. So keep posting over there or make posts here they can run with because they lack enjoyment outside of this site.

Here is to all the LSU fans and Merry Christmas.

E: They all hurt equally

If he does decide to leave, I hope he doesn't announce it on Christmas day, like he did with us. It sucks to lose someone like Saban but I'm sure y'all will be fine if it happens.

Do I think it's a little petty to have a double standard regarding this sort of thing? You bet your arse I do. If I had a gigantic CFB message board like Chicken does, I promise you that I would be a lot worse than he his. By a mile. Especially to UT fans.
