You imagine it Lewis, JDR comes home to coach his son at QB

We'd recruit Fla and Cali better than any other school sans in-state schools lol

Anyone for faking a melt, as if we knew Saban was for sure gone?

Not in the mood.

Saban did so much for Bama it would be hard
to get mad at him.

I found a couple of flights from Baton Rouge to Dallas and Austin.

Really want to go stir up the CC board right now.

Del Rio would be the perfect hire for UA. Shaw isnt leaving his Stanford as much as Id like him.

I don't see JDR sticking at bama long in that hypothetical. Seems like USC and the NFL would mean more to him than Alabama should his phone begin to ring.

I secretly would want Paul Johnson as the OC/'head' coach with Ogre in charge of recruiting.

Bama triple option dynasty

Kirby is the only logical choice IMO assuming Jimbo is staying put

Why?
There are plenty of options.

Edit:clarity.

there are plenty of options out there to grab. Grabbing Les Miles would be hilarious

Man the LSU guys need to loosen the reigns a little bit. Once Tigerdroppings expanded to SECrant they needed to start policing this place a little more equitable.

For one he would be our best bet at retaining the current crop of recruits, which is going to be vital in keeping this ball rolling should saban bolt.

Secondly other than Urban Meyer there isn't a proven homerun college coach out there. Kirby has been here for 7 years. He has a relationship with the high school coaches in our recruiting base and he is a relentless recruiter and a great defensive mind.

I feel like one way or another Kirby Smart is going to end up a great head coach somewhere, I think it would be a shame if he didn't get that opportunity here. It would be the ultimate salt in the wound if we hired a "proven head coach" (one without a resume close to Saban's championship caliber) and Kirby Smart went on to have Jimbo Fisher type success elsewhere.

I think seeing as that there isn't a homerun hire out there I think it would be a smart gamble (no pun intended) to see what Kirby can do, we may just hire the next great college football coach

that whole Coaching changes thread is just one giant fantasy until some
real evidence steps up.

the fact that the legit Les Miles to Austin thread is just as credible and it was whacked shows how biased these admins are.

Here's a nice little nugget I just received...if someone cares to validate that would be great.

After sharing my concerns this morning with a fairly well connected family member I got this text

"I just tracked PBJ plane tail number. Been going to Austin monthly for over two years"

He not gone?
