I've never liked the idea of statues honoring individual players and I never will. Especially at Alabama, where the emphasis has always been on team over individual.

But if they must do it, just don't have it done by the amateur who did the statue of Saban as a deformed hunchback.

I'm against it. Individual awards mean nothing in a team sport.

Yeah don't like the statue idea myself....but its the most prestigious award in college sports and a big deal....

I have to think Saban likes the idea as it would probably help with recruiting...anything to get an edge.
