A) Jalen Milroe - Often the process favors more senior player.

B) Ty Simpson - Young gun just has more passing potential.

C) Transfer - Milroe cant hit a barn, Simpson not ready to lead.

I am guessing B and he will be for the next 3 years. Sayin then takes over.

I saw some leaked footage from practice yesterday of Simpson, and he was making some insane throws. I think he can be special.

He'll probably go pro after 2. Just Sayin.

No inside information or anything, just a feel that Ty Simpson takes the reins. He is a special talent, similar to BY. Not a knock on Milroe, but I feel that he needs a true QB coach to work with him to work on his mechanics. Live arm, almost too live on short to intermediate throws. I know our guys had some drops, but no need to try and throw it through the receivers’ chest. Long throws though, he seems to pull up on it, almost trying to guide it to the receiver instead of airing it out and letting our guy go get it.

Nightmare scenario: Golding and Obrien return; Milroe is named the starter.

Can Ty play in the sugar bowl or are we redshirting or what? Would that even burn a redshirt with his lack of playing at all this year.

Starting about the second half of OM game..where Bama seemed to instantly develop a power run game, I started to be less .. pessimistic. Then in garbage time of AP game saw a throw by Simpson that led me further off the ledge. Over a defender to the sideline ..35 yds or so in total. I figured if he can make those throws then. Bama will be alright ( if we return to physical defense)

Per ESPN, he has only played in 3 games this year. I believe he can play in 4 and still maintain redshirt status.
