I thought Blake did a great job managing the game. He had several key runs for first downs to keep the chains moving.

I'm convinced that some of yall are just whiny little girls

A win by 1 or 50 is still a win. The concern is are we good enough to win it all.

In regards to the fans people keep calling out it should be the fans that are bipolar that get called out. One minute complaining about the team and the next praising them. Just like the ones that rode Coker as the next starter before coming on campus and next are Sims all day long. I guess maybe we should revisit some of the post of every regular fan.

The ones that stand by their convictions consistency should not be chastised on a board made for opinions. But the bipolar fans seem to get their panties in a wad when not everyone agrees with their mood swings.

You want people to be praised for standing by their conviction of "If we don't win by 30... I melt!"?? I can't support that.

It's like the concept of close, gritty or hard fought is foreign to some people. It must be easy and come easy or it isn't good. That is some pretty bad entitlement, shown by these types. Wouldn't you agree?

This was a game where we pulverized Rocky Drop so badly the kids let up and allowed them back in. That isn't a verdict on the season, it's a correctable thing which I'm glad is a lesson we learn today and not against LSU, Miss State or Auburn.

ETA: FSU struggled against Okie State and some other poor teams. Miss State struggled against UAB. Oregon struggled against Wash State.

The list goes on and on. Why is it those types of fans are so quick to forget these facts and so quick to say "Alabama sucks/doesn't deserve etc etc"?

It has nothing to do with entitlement it has to do with I will respect someone who will stand by their guns and not flip flop back and forth. Do I think we need to win by 30 every game no but someone does that is their on expectation and I may disagree because I do not see that as part of our foundation to be a west coast type of offense. Yes it is great when it happens but I do not expect it every game.

I can not support the fan that will criticize the team one week and comes in with the sky is falling attitude and the next week going on about how great the team is. Example Arkansas to aTm. Again disagree and support two different terms.

People use entitlement in the wrong way on this board. I see no one who feels entitled just because they express their opinion and have an expectation of what they believe UA football should look like, but see entitlement in the ones that are quick to criticize anyone that may disagree with the popular opinion of the majority or said poster calling them out. The sense of entitlement to tell people they are wrong because they disagree with you is actually pretty bad.

In regards to the game I am happy with the win, but we are 8 games in and still seeing some of the same problems. Are they getting better I think so and I think this team has a legit shot of winning out the regular season, but I am not convinced yet because of some lingering issues. And yes I have concerns about Blake and have coming into the season and at no time was I ever on the Coker bandwagon like many on here were. We have the talent and the staff to win, and if we win out it will not be pretty and I am fine with that because I do not mind gritty. A win is a win and this may not be a verdict but it seems each week, except aTm, we have more things that have to get addressed. We fix one thing and another pops up and it is things I feel(not saying I am right) that should have been addressed before the season started.

Managing the game also means having an awareness of the clock. How many timeouts did we burn because of it? A penalty as well? That is not being a good game manager. I think he did well in other aspects, and I've given him praise for that, but there is no denying that burning those timeouts could come back to bite us in the arse.

I just don't agree.

Standing by your guns to something idiotic doesn't make it any less idiotic. It may make the person doing it insane considering that is kind of the definition of insanity.

It has everything to do with entitlement. When we destroy a team now we're great. When we don't beat them by 40, all of a sudden we suck/average or will probably lose the next *blank* games.

Point to me one team that isn't like this? In fact point to me one of our past championship winning teams that didn't still struggle with some problems, but gradually got better at those issues?

The fact that we are battling and building great character as a team is something you guys need to rejoice about. This team is making it's own new identity for the next run.

Instead of looking at the glass half empty, look at it half full.

AJ is the king of "Game Manager" and how many did he waste or delays did we have even in his last season? Hell we had one of the most embarrassing ones in our history in the Championship game against Notre Dame.

Remember, this is Sims first year (too bad, I think he would be a nightmare with another). The expectations that he has to be perfect is outlandish.

He has been far better in his first year then anyone else under Saban.

Yeah I realize that AJ had some issues with the clock, and that was him not being a good game manager. I'd rather use timeouts because our defense needs them or to exploit something we see from their defense.

I think he needs to improve on that. I think he will, too.

Breaking the huddle or lining up with less than 15 seconds on the play clock screws up the flow imo. Sims and the oline are having to rush to make checks and it appears they don't make the necessary checks due to the lack of time on the play clock. I don't know who or what is causing that issue, but it needs to be corrected. Sims and the offense are at their best when they're lined up with 15+ seconds on the play clock.

Did anyone else notice how long we were standing around the previous 2 plays waiting for the clock to run down though? That timeout/play seemed like the ref reset the clock to 25 seconds instead of 40 and caught us off-guard.

37/50 (74%), 470 yards, 4 TDs, 31 First Downs
18 Rush Attempts, 108 yards, 2 TDs, 10 First Downs

Found here. He's gotten extremely lucky with defenders dropping picks but honestly who was expecting this type of production at QB coming into the season regardless of who manned the position?
