Has this been posted on the SEC Rant yet?

If not, it needs to be.

ETA: I couldn't help myself. It's over there now.

Hate that he's a senior. We lose a lot after this season.

I have faith. We'll have the most talented roster in the nation, but experience is key. The entire secondary would likely be gone. Field, Boundary, Star, Money, Free, Strong, all 6 of them.

Both of our starting ILBs will be gone, though guys like Mack Wilson and Keith Holcolmbe are playing some. Miller and Lewis will be back from injuries at OLB, but they would've missed out on this season for experience. We lose Hand on the DL and most likely Payne too. That leaves the defense with something like 2010 levels of experience. A good defense that won 10 games, but the worst D of the Saban era other than 2007.

Offensively we bring back two really good QBs, at least Najee and Jacobs (plus Robinson has looked good too), most of the OL, all our TEs, and these young WRs that are getting reps (but not a lot of catches to this point). So on offense I think we'd be dominate, maybe even more than this season. But defensively should take a giant step back. If it doesn't it'd be a remarkable effort by the coaches and places. Also worth noting we lose JK who, other than the occasional head scratcher, has been all world for 4 years.

I think by years end we will have given the secondary good experience.

Carter
Mayden
Thompson
Knott
Diggs
McKinney
Wright
Mcdonald

Plus any new recruits who could be good coming in. You never know. A Fitz like guy.

ILB isn't as bad with Mack and Moses who are both freaks of nature plus a solid Holcombe

DL and OLB

Lewis
Miller
Buggs
Brown
Davis (If he comes together)
Allen
Mosley
Jennings
McMillion
Cowen
Ray
Mathis
Dwight

I think we have a few guys who can step in and do good things. People thought this defense wouldn't be good either, its def good. But the experience could be an issue but a lot of young guys have played this year. Hard to say.
