Blake didnt play that bad.

Ole Miss's secondary was just incredible. We just couldnt get it going on offense in this game, period. Drake getting hurt really hurt us. I said before the game that he would be a big part of the gameplan because Henry isnt fast enough from the handoff for OM's quick defense. I believe he would have been a difference maker. Oh well.

We made too many mistakes as a team, and OM took advantage of them. Game's over, lets move on. We still have a lot of football left to play.

The true irony is if OJ was as dedicated as the people who were begging for him to get passes the past weeks we'd have won the game on that deep ball.

I'm sure Howard wasn't interested in catching the potential game winning TD pass. That was a bad read and an even worse throw.

Blake was not good today. Not close. Ole Miss played zone just about the whole game and he couldn't find anyone open. Drake going down and White being extremely limited didn't help him.

That being said, he didn't lose the game, but he did precious little to help us win. Had a chance to lead a 99-yard, game-winning drive, but came up short.

Gotta feel bad for Arkansas. 104-o over the last two games, and just when it looks like they could put up a fight, they get Bama after this game.

Coop goin for 300.

Just killed ourselves. Shout out to Howard and Jones for your excellent play today

Worst day of Alabama football I can remember. Loss, terrible play and injuries were all cranking at 11 it seemed. Hats off to Ole Miss...stepped up when it counted.

Well to be fair, we pretty much are.

Just like we were pretty much guaranteed to beat Ole Miss because we always do. Right.

Not really. It isn't anything like that at all.

Right.

Hey, I said before we played Florida that we were gonna lose to Ole Miss and swapped after we played Florida and OM played Memphis. Partly because of that, and partly to get the idiots to shut up their whining over someone picking against Bama.

We had 2 chances to drive the whole field and crush their spirit and he wasn't capable of making it happen either time.

I personally don't believe coaching lost us the game, but it didn't help us either. Trey Depriest has no right to play against any spread teams. He just seems lost out there and is always being blocked.

Landon killed us today. He missed a few tackles, and not to mention the game winning TD that he was scorched on.

Tony Brown was abused all night, but you can't stop the back shoulder throw. Every DB in the Country struggles with that.

Christion Jones surprised me with the fumbles.. but that stuff happens. That's football, and that was karma for the gift we received to end the first half.

This year our defense is not a championship caliber defense.

Maybe if his TE would help him out and not hold to put us in a long situation with 44 seconds left, then the next play allow the perfectly thrown TD pass to get intercepted, we'd have won.

Don't let the truth or reality stop you from your anti-Sims agenda.

I watched the game with a former college football coach and he said Tony Brown played a great game. He had good coverage on almost every pass completed against him, he was just up against one of the better WRs in the game. That's gonna happen.

He didn't have as kind of words for Collins. He thought Ole Miss saw something on film with Collins and exploited it. He didn't know what though.

In the end he thought Ole Miss played an A game, and Bama played a D game.

Brown played well, and you can tell he is going to be a player. There were quite a few times where he slipped on that shitty turf making his breaks with the WR. shite was annoying.

YStar, I'm with you on the "Sims ain't the problem" wagon (even if you do come across as an arrogant arse when you try to make a point.) However, even you know this statement to be 100% bullshite. Poor read that should never have been thrown into double coverage.

I don't understand how you could have an injured Blake Sims and an inexperienced, but talented Coker and decide to go with Sims.
I've read tRant all day yesterday and this morning. However, this is by far the most ignorant post I've seen.

So IF (big IF) Blake Sims was injured, do we play him anyway? This is like last year with AJ all over again. It's pretty alarming that the Bengals have just started to clear AJ to pass nearly nine months after the Sooner Bowl. Sims also had a boot on after the game.

It was clear that Sims could not stretch the field, and they started to key in on that the second half. Was it a fold-job or injury? If it was folding, fine. If it was injury, let him rest and get healthy or he never will and we will pay for it down the stretch.

Blake Sims played good enough to win. The only thing I can critique about his play was that he stared down his receivers. The bigger problem yesterday was the secondary. Our LBs and DBs are just not playing good enough to make a legitimate run at the NC.

It's a problem to only score 10 points. That is on the offense.

It is also a problem to allow 23 points. That is on the defense. Neither side is excused from the clusterfrick that was yesterday's game.

If Sims is hurt, that could explain why he seemed so tentative to run the ball. There are times where I wish he would just tuck it and run instead trying to make a bad pass.

The penalties yesterday were crippling too--they came at the most inopportune times.

The problem is that you're not giving Ole Miss D enough credit. They are primarily responsible for our O's poor play, not Blake. It didn't help that he stared down WRs, but he's done that all year. This defense didn't let him get away with it, though.
