Condescension and bad takes gift wrapped in humor ain’t a good look.
No one here needs any kind of defending as this is supposed to be a forum full of adults, but I will say I’ve always enjoyed reading your posts and missed seeing your thoughts while you were on sabbatical.

I will say I like to think if I’m being condescending I’m usually not trying to be funny and vice versa haha.
FWIW I don’t really mind anyone’s fiscal thoughts and not even most social opinions. And I’m not trying to get back into the weeds with this post so I’ll just say it’s usually VERY specific types of takes that I even bother with.
But it’s not really my place to tell people what to post or think. I’m not a mod and I’m not the dog whistle police and I probably don’t have the patience or grace to be a good contrarian either.

I’ve found in my short time here that people can get a little too uptight about this stuff. I guess it can be hard to tell sometimes if someone is attempting humor or being serious by just reading words. I’ve already gotten 3 downvotes for making a joke about Cole Adams being a white receiver and making stereotypical references that usually comes with it from media types
